「We liked the Holiday Inn Express Caen/Epron. It was new, very clean and the staff was exceptionally helpful. The only drawback is there isn’t anything within walking distance. It’s kind of in a business area so you can’t walk to a cafe or even a grocery store. We had a car and were comfortable driving everywhere so it wasn’t a problem but it could be if you’re expecting it to be in an area that is walkable. 」
「All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with gluten free options ( rare for france!) secure car park 20 mins from ferry port and 10 mins into town via tram. Good size rooms with fridge incredibly helpful stop off en route home . Definitely recommend 」
「Friendly staff, free parking, very comfortable room, we booked two rooms and we were given interlinking rooms without having to ask which was very thoughtful and appreciated. We had a notification the day before we arrived to say there would be no restaurant in the evening while we we're there. We ate lunch several times during our stay and along with breakfast the food was excellent.
Side note: Hotel had been taken over by US veterans and their support for D-Day, the veterans were inspiring...
