フナ広場から徒歩3分のホテル

フナ広場から近くて便利でした。部屋もおしゃれで綺麗です。エアコン付きなのも有難いです。トイレは水が流れなくなりましたが、従業員の方に直してもらったので何とか使えました。屋上テラスでの朝食が見晴らしもよくとてもよかったです。

Fabulous stay

A great place in a great location with an ocean view from the bedroom window and welcoming helpful staff, and a good breakfast as well, what more could you ask for.

Booked for 2 adults and 2 children and was given a self contained apartment with sitting area and tiny kitchen plus 2 bathrooms over 2 floors. View was amazing, staff polite and breakfast good. Only caution is upstairs bedroom ceiling low (6 feet) and stairs very narrow so may not be good for those with mobility problems. They do have rooms without these issues so just ask but we felt we had the best rooms here for the view alone. Roof terrace a bonus.

Lovely Riad & Staff

Beautiful Riad, nice room & hot water!! The staff was kind, helpful & very attentive. Hubby had a stomach ache and they got him tea to make him feel better. This is our bad - we didn’t realize that we hadn’t paid online when booking. There was some confusion but they were kind & patient with us. They don’t take credit cards but we were fortunate because we had just enough cash to pay for it.

A pleasant b&b. The breakfast and service were excellent. We had a room with a sea view which looked out over the rocks but it meant that the room was a bit damp.

Window became detached upon opening. Made for a chilly, noisy night, but staff quickly repaired, then all was well. Rooms have no heat, but cozy sleeping under blankets. Very quiet. Good breakfasts. Good location, close to souks.

We are sorry about the window, we encourage our guests to inform us in case they require our assistance and we do our best to solve any issues in a timely manner. Our rooms, except for the suite, are not heated, as this is rarely required in Essaouira, but on request we can gladly provide an electrical radiator in the room, (for an additional fee). We are pleased you had an excellent stay with us.

Dar bahar Déçu.

Ne prenez surtout pas la chambre au rez-de-chaussée. C'est une honte de mettre cette chambre en location. C'est juste un local à balais. Cerise sur le gâteau, le bureau de la réception se trouve juste devant cette chambre. Influencé par les photos, je l'ai réservée pour une nuit, la veille je suis passé pour voir à quoi elle ressemble. Très déçu, je demande à la réception de me donner une autre chambre. Pas possible. J'ai abandonné le prix de la location et j'ai été trouvé ailleurs.

Nous vous remercions pour votre avis. Nous sommes désolés que notre chambre n'ait pas répondu à vos attentes. Maintenant, pour notre côté de l'histoire: la chambre Zahra ressemble exactement aux photos. Elle est petite mais propre et dispose de toutes les commodités comme les autres chambres. En effet, elle est située au rez-de-chaussée, derrière la réception. C'est une chambre économique, la moins chère de nos chambres (la moitié du prix d'une chambre double standard). Nous vous avons dit qu'il y avait d'autres chambres disponibles, mais vous vouliez être transféré dans une autre chambre au même prix et, malheureusement, ce n'était pas possible. Cerise sur le gâteau: vous n'avez pas mentionné que vous vouliez annuler la réservation, vous avez décidé le lendemain de ne pas vous présenter. Cependant, nous ne vous avons pas facturé de frais de non-présentation. Nous espérons que cela aurait rendu votre séjour à Essaouira agréable et que vous avez apprécié l'autre logement que vous avez réservé.

Great riad host

I really appreciated the riad host that he protected my friend from our tour guide who tried to take advantage of her vulnerability. The riad host immediately told the tour guide to leave the room. The host warned us that our tour guide was a crooked snake. I am glad that host stood his ground firmly to protect us and the host treated us with great respect. He served us an amazing breakfast. The riad was beautiful and clean, and it obviously is hundred years old that some areas needed some surface cosmetic work. The terrace on top of roof has good view of Atlantic Ocean. I would definitely return to this location. I want to say thanks to riad host for taking care of us with his protection.

Can’t beat the view

Dar Al Bahar was simply lovely. The room (Malika) that we chose was on the third floor but we were helped both going up and down with our luggage. The view is to die for, absolutely breathtaking. The terrace was perfect for watching the sunset and breakfast. We were a little cold so we had breakfast downstairs which was fine. We always had 2 types of bread with an omelette, coffee and juice. Location is good for all parts of the Medina, about a ten minute walk from where the taxi drops you off.

Nice view

Spent one night at the hotel and were very satisfied. The hotel is well located in the city center at the ocean. From the roof it offers an absolutelly outstanding view. The rooms are nice and clean. To get to the beach, it takes roughly about 10 minutes by foot walking through the beautiful, narrow streets of Essouira.

Quiet hotel overlooking the ocean in the mediina.

Rooftop deck overlooking the ocean and rooftops. Delicious breakfast, spotless rooms with efficient, helpful and happy staff. A softer bed would have made the stay perfect.

Room offered was substandard we had to pay another CS 20 to get an acceptable room. The owner very unfriendly. No creditcard option she charged us 10% surcharge over bank rate for the payment. Very dissatisfied.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. There are always two sides to every story, so kindly allow us to present ours. You booked the cheapest room in our hotel. The room is just like in the photos on Expedia, offering basic comfort. This room is called Zahra and is located on the ground floor, as indicated also in the title of the room on Expedia. You have decided that you wanted to upgrade. Indeed, this implied an additional cost. We are sorry that our explanation of the situation to you was considered rudeness. We do not have a POS machine at our front desk, so we cannot debit credit cards directly, that is why on our profile on Expedia there is no credit card logo. For ease of calculations, we are rounding the rate of 1 euro to 11 dirhams, as displayed in our reception. The bank rate fluctuates each day, but never by a difference of 10%. For example, at the time when we are writing this reply, if you search for the exchange rate euro to dirhams, it is 1 euro = 10.8 dirhams. So that means a difference of only 2%, not 10%.

Essaouira "Wind city"

Hotellet ligger nära de viktiga gatorna i median och vissa rum har en fantastisk havsutsikt. Fritt val att äta frukost trångt framför öppna spisen på bottenvåningen eller på den fina terrassen 4 trappor upp med ännu bättre utsikt. Små rum med lite större badrum. Prisvärt!

Lovely relaxing riad

I had been staying at a different riad in Essauoira but decided to switch to Dar al Bahar and I am so glad I did. It is a lovely riad located on a cliff above the ocean. Some rooms have ocean views, mine did not but I would leave my windows open so that I could smell and hear the ocean. It has a spectacular roof off terrace where a lovey breakfast is served. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is located on the northern side of the medina which I preferred. There are a number of good restaurants nearby and it is an easy walk to shops. When I come back to Essaouira I will definitely stay here,

This hotel is in a relatively quiet part of the Médina, next to the sea (although it’s not on the beach). It is basically a tower, and the rooms get less expensive the higher up you are (because the climb is steep). The room itself was clean and well decorated. The staff was a problem, though. The man on night shift was not at all helpful, and in fact, refused us a slightly earlier breakfast (we requested breakfast 15 minutes before regular time), which we needed because of a 9:00 bus. So we paid in full but received no breakfast. And not even an apology. There are plenty of other options in Essaouira so no need for this one.

However, with your permission, we would like to add our remarks to your comments: - on each floor, we have rooms at different prices, depending on the capacity (2 or 3 guests) and the view (street view or sea view). For examples, there are guests prefer to climb the stairs to the third floor for the panoramic ocean view of one of our double rooms. Prices do not go down as you go up. - regarding breakfast, according to the information printed in the room, we serve it each day between 8:30 and 11:00 h. We gladly cater to early departures with packed meals or even with early breakfasts served in our lounge/terrace, as long as we are informed one day in advance, in order to inform our cook. Unfortunately, on short notice, my colleagues did not have enough time to prepare your breakfast earlier than the standard time.

Bättre blir det inte. Hotellet är beläget mitt inne i medinan och är samtidigt en del av själva muren mot havet, när du öppnar fönstret så tittar du rakt ner i vattnet. Mycket trevlig frukost uppe på taket, med milsvid utsikt över havet. Vänlig personal. Litet och personligt ställe.

Wonderful!

Greeted with coffee and amazing almond pastries. The sea view room on the city wall was amazing. Don't miss sunset from the fourth floor terrace.

I only wish I could have stayed longer! The rooftop patio is a great place to spend the morning reading. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. I loved every minute.

Hotel mit historischem Charakter !

Inmitten der Medina Essouairas liegt dieses Hotel eingebettet in die Stadtmauer direkt am Meer ! Beim Frühstück auf der Dachterasse hat man die Wahl über die Dächer der Medina oder in die Weite des Mittelmeeres zu schauen ! Die Suite stellte sich als komplett eingerichtetete zweistöckige Wohnung mit Küche dar und war für 55 € ein Schnäppchen ! Nur 2 - 3 min. vom Hotel entfernt steht man auf dem Fischmarkt oder schaut Argan Bauern beim pressen des beliebten Oels zu ! Beeindruckend empfand ich auch , für diese Lage , wie Ruhig es Nachts im Hotel war . Alles in allem , ein echt guter Tip ! Mit ca. 2,5 h Fahrtzeit bietet sich Essouaira auch für Besucher Marrakechs als Kurztrip an !

Everything about this riad was just what we wanted. On arrival we were offered mint tea and Moroccon cookies before being shown to our room which was great. As with most riads, our room wasn't huge but it had everything we needed. We had one of the sea view rooms which was great. The riad couldn't be closer to the sea, so to look out every morning was a really lovely start to the day. The breakfast on the roof terrace is great - coffee, fresh orange juice, omelette and roll. Lovely to eat as you sit and watch the city come to life and plan your day. The location is great - it's quiet but only about a 2 minute walk from the centre of the medina. The staff were really helpful too. I can't wait to go back!

Small hotel in quiet part of Town

Really pleasant hotel in a quiet part of the old town yet only a few minutes stroll through the lanes to the central square. The staff were all friendly, extremely helpful and only too eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, nothing was too much trouble if it would make our stay really special - which it was. Great terrace for breakfast, fantastic sea views - sea view rooms probably recommended if available - looking out over a rocky coast and towards the sandy beaches. Highly recommended both for accommodation and the warmth and help of the Hotel staff

A glimpse of the ocean in th heart of the Medina

Cozy riad in front of the ocean and in the heart of the Medina but really quite corner. Friendly staff and amazing terrasse for breakfast. I strongly recommend it.

Nice location

Very friendly staff and nice location.Rooms re small but comfortable.i really like beds I had a nice sleep

Cozy place by the sea

Great location on the edge of medina. Oceanview worth the extra money. Breakfast on rooftop with amazing viewss. Shower could use more water pressure but everything else was perfect. We would come back to stay again

Excellent Riad in beautiful location

Really enjoyed our 2 day stay and we are certainly planning on repeating our visit. The Raid is clean and friendly, good value and in an excellent location.

Charming hotel overlooking the sea

My stay here was a pleasure. The room was clean and charming, the staff friendly and helpful and the views from the terrace are stunning. Just be aware that cars are not allowed in the medina so you must carry/pull your bags through the souks on arrival and departure. I found it was worth it to stay at this lovely hotel.
