Amazing Location and excellent management but....
This is a complicated review. We were looking for a place for a family gathering on the coast and this place looked perfect. The views from the property are unmatched. Dramatic ocean views The property is an old ranch with several buildings on it. The property seems to be new to the rental world but had everything needed. The listing does not include pictures of the cottage but it was a simple 2 bedroom, 1 bath property with small kitchen. We arrived just before a winter storm was set to hit. The house was clean for the most part. These are old houses and I just think it is hard to ever make it clean. There was very little to no documentation about the houses...how to operate things, local attractions, etc. That would have been nice especially something that would have let you know you are on well water and the color of the water is, well, yellow. There is one sign in a bathroom that let us know it was well water and fine to drink. After the first stormy night, a leak appeared in the ceiling of the main house. We had fun playing games and snuck in a walk between storms at Navarro Beach. We also discovered that the dishwasher was not working. Soon, a second leak appeared and then another and things were not looking good!We reached out to Vacasa and they were very very responsive. They had people out the next morning to deal everything but nothing to fix the roof or dishwasherAll said, great location and great management but the property needs some love!
