Basic and old

This hotel is old and basic. Some areas are in poor shape, there was water damage, it has poor insulation and it got very hot, there was no AC or even enough fans for individual rooms. Employees cannot do much for their guests because the multiple problems have been reported many times and repairs are not made.

Great staff and good location.

My wife and I really enjoyed our private room and the hostel. Our room was clean (though a bit cold at times), shower was clean with good pressure. Unfortunately my wife got sick while we were staying here and we didn't get to fully enjoy the hostel and Calafate. However, the staff were really helpful with helping us setup tours and also always asked about her condition. The hostel is about a 15 minute walk to the city center, however, it is a easy walk and we felt safe walking around there at night. I would recommend this place and will stay here again if we are in El Calafate.

Le pire des hôtel ! et attention réutilise SAVON !

Je ne comprend même pas comment cette hôtel existe et pourtant j'en au fais de toute sorte dans le monde, isolation de la chambre inexistante, la baignoire de la SDB se vider en 30mins après une douche rapide et une chose marquante: les femmes de chambres réutilise et remballe les savons utiliser car quand nous ouvrons le savon soit disant neuf qui est refermer avec du scotch et bien le savon et lisse ...... une honte ! Et en partant nous avons jeter un coup d'oeil au chariots des femmes de chambres et cela confirme bien : une caisse bien cacher en dessous avec des savons usager !!!! Cette hôtel ne mérite pas du tout ces étoiles et ces tarifs !!!!

Todo estuvo muy bien, siempre me fijo mucho en la limpieza de los baños y era impecable. Habitaciones ordenadas, pulcras, lindos espacios comunes. Está ubicado en la entrada de la ciudad en un lugar muy tranquilo.

I had such a lovely time staying here! The staff was incredibly want and helpful, the location was perfect (got dinner each night from a restaurant right across the street), and the space had everything I needed. Will definitely be staying here again should I return to Patagonia.

Really liked this hotel—good vibe.

Super clean and comfortable basic room with a tub! Standard carbohydrate Chilean breakfast. But super staff and very very nice common areas. I really like it. Walls are thin but the location is quiet, so no noise unless its your neighbors. I would definitely stay again.

Good value, friendly staff

We enjoyed our stay at Posta Sur. We arrived later in the evening, but the Reception staff were on hand and were very helpful. Initially our room had a few issues - it was a Twin rather than the Double we had ordered, and had a faulty door and power socket - but these were promptly remedied once we had reported the same. The breakfast was good, common areas very pleasant, and the Wi-Fi reached the room we were staying in. The room itself was spacious, a nice design, and the shower and bath were good. The room was a little hot, but this didn't spoil our enjoyment. The hotel laundry was very over-priced, but we just went into town instead (itself a downhill 5-10 min walk away). We felt the room offered good value for money.
