Could have used a dusting

The property suited our needs wonderfully! 3 couples stayed comfortably over the weekend. Garbage can pedal was broken and there was visible dust on the walls and air vents but that didn’t affect our wonderful Door County experience. Wish it had garage access as we woke up to snow the last morning!

Plun bottom cabin

Nice and quiet. Dishes, cups etc available. However you can bring your own paper products. Paper towel was on kitchen counter. There was no extra tp in the downstairs. We just got by! Lol! Chad was great to work with. Answered all my questions in a reasonable tim.

Sisters getaway trip

Tucked away in a wooded area south of Egg Harbor, a great jumping off point to explore the Door Peninsula. The house fit our group comfortably (including a table that seats 8) We were only there for 2 nights and would have gladly stayed longer, needed more time to walk the grounds and to enjoy coffee in the gardens outside of the beautiful Art Gallery. A gem in the woods!

Girls Getaway

We enjoyed to cottage and it was closer to Egg Harbor than we first expected. LOVE the shop that is right on location! Couch leaves a lot to be desired, as it is very uncomfortable. Fireplace is too noisy to use, wifi is not strong. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels for our stay. Wish lamps in one bedroom had been plugged in, would have required crawling under bed to do so ourselves so we left a note about this and fireplace in hopes they can resolve for next guests.

Pros:Beautiful location, beautiful property! Loads of amenities and the size was perfect for us. We loved having a kitchen and washer and dryer! The location was quiet and private. We appreciated all the art on the walls! We loved that the living space was also set up for a large number of people so we could all be together. The fire pit set up outside was nice, although we didn’t use it.Cons:The washing machine ring hadn’t been cleaned in a while and was covered in black. I wiped it out and ended up with a gob of someone else’s grime and hair. We moved a bed to locate an item that fell and found water bottles from previous tenants. Wash your dishes before using the dishwasher. We used the downstairs bedroom as a “master”; except the bathroom doors were pocket doors that didn’t close fully or lock so it offered VERY little privacy. If you closed the pocket door leading from the bathroom to the bedroom, the door to the living room would pop open. The fan in the bathroom was attached to a motion sensor except it never turned off so we listened to that all night. The water pressure in the shower can best be described as a gentle trickle. It was almost impossible to wash my hair. The gallery workers were also in the garage attached to the house so that felt a bit strange to us.

Girls Weekend!

This place was perfect for us ladies! We had friends staying in a nearby town and this location was great for gathering and catching up between dinners and activities around Door County. The listing was 100% accurate and had very easy check out procedures. A few of the guests got to chat with one of the ladies from the gallery when we arrived and said she was really sweet and welcoming. We also received a great email with lots of different things to do in the area. The beds were very comfortable, we had plenty of seating and the place was very clean. My only recommendation is maybe a full length mirror somewhere and mirrors in all bedrooms- might help 8 people (especially ladies) get ready and out the door a little quicker vs everyone waiting for a bathroom mirror. Wonderful place!

A perfect getaway!

I stayed here along with my husband, our daughter (nearly 2 y/o) along with my parents and another couple. The home was absolutely perfect for us. This was our first visit to Door County, and hopefully not our last. The home was beautiful and very comfortable for 6 adults and a child. The beds were much more comfortable than any hotel we’ve stayed in and the overall comfort of the home was exceptional. We ate many meals at the house (it can be challenging to eat out with a toddler) and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prep. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit and used the charcoal grill as well. My daughter loved the little kitchen table/chairs, and we even noticed there was a pack n play in the closet (although we brought our own). I would not hesitate to book this property again!

A lovely property!

This was our third time staying here at the Plum Bottom Cabin. We loved it! We will definitely be back next year! One of our group has more trouble getting around so pulling up to the back door and the 1st floor bedroom are a plus! Thanks for everything!

Beautiful & peaceful

Beautiful and cozy!

The cabin was the highlight of our trip, only behind the wine tastings! Every feature of the rental was well thought out, it had adorable decor, cozy beds, and was a quiet getaway to celebrate my 30th birthday weekend. Literally couldn't have asked for a better place! Chad was also super accommodating and even helped my boyfriend pull off surprise visitors (my parents) for my birthday. He took care of the extra charges in a separate transaction without me ever knowing! Thanks a bunch for sharing the cabin with us!

Perfect in any season!

Our group of sisters and friends finds late winter the best time to get together every year, and we all agreed the Cabin @ Plum Bottom is our favorite Door County lodging to date! It's perfectly located for day trips anywhere on the peninsula, and it has almost* all the amenities of home. (*We found the kitchen has only one small frying pan and no griddle pan for pancakes/french toast, but we managed Saturday breakfast for six by cooking in shifts.) On Sunday we just stopped at the Door County Coffee & Tea Company in Carlsville for a great breakfast and some last-minute shopping too :) Even in the off-season there are many fun shops, restaurants and wineries open on the weekends and this cabin is the perfect home base for visiting all of them!

Clean, comfortable, inviting, and well appointed

This spacious cabin is just off the normal route in door county - it's well taken care of with a beautiful, clean interior and very comfortable furniture. When you get to the cabin it feels very private - surrounded by woods - quiet getaway. The owners are responsive and kind - and the gallery is worth a look any time you stay here.

lovely and comfortable

The Cabin at Plum Bottom is clearly new and well cared for. The beds, linens and towels are comfy and wonderful. The kitchen is generally well-stocked but needs a larger fry pan for groups of 6-8 people. Usually over time, visitors have left things like spices and a variety of things, but this kitchen was immaculate which had its up and downsides. The owners were welcoming and kind. Our kids loved the strobe light machine! The water must be on Sturgeon Bay's system because it sure wasn't well water....sweet! The grounds were lovely. It was good to explore the southern part of the peninsula, but we gravitated back to Ephraim Beach and Wilson's as always. Thanks Chad and Anne. We had a great week.

Perfect getaway

Thank you Chad, Angela and Anne. The newly built cottage has everything you need for a door county escape. The outdoor area is beautiful country while inside all the conveniences of home. Anne was responsive to our needs. Despite instructions the upstairs shower was tricky to turn on! In front Chad has his working space and displays his/ others pottery and art work. 5 of us spent almost a week plus entertained more with a Mexican cook out. Great base to explore the quaint towns and nature trails/ views.

F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S

We booked the "cabin" at Plum Bottom for the last week of June and by the end of our first full day I knew this place was one I will return to again and again. I have enjoyed many retreats to Door County over the years and stayed at a variety of properties, including lodges, cabins, B&B's and rented condo's. I've camped at Peninsula several times as well. Plum Bottom exceeds them all!! It provided the perfect home base for me and my family. I could rave endlessly about the comfortable, nicely appointed and relaxing accommodations, the marvelous location and the wonderful owner/hosts/staff - suffice it to say that staying at Plum Bottom is an opportunity that is too good to miss.

Girls weekend

I rented the Cabin @ Plum Bottom for Memorial Day weekend. It was a Mothers Day gift for my mom, mom in law, and my sister. The cabin is spacious and very comfortable. All of us slept great and said how comfortable the beds were. We all wished we could have stayed longer. The kitchen is very well appointed and has everything you might need to make all meals. It is close to a lot of great restaurants though too. The location is perfect, a little secluded and away for all the hustle and bustle, but still just a short drive away from all the major Door County towns. I will definitely rent this home again!
