What a wonderful place to stay in Edinburgh! It was so spacious, light, VERY clean, and well stocked! This was our family’s favorite accommodation during our UK trip, and my teen/tween daughters kept raving about how nice it was. We appreciated the many bedrooms and bathrooms and space to spread out. We had one of the bedrooms upstairs set up with two twin beds, instead of a king, which worked well for kids sharing the room. The beds and pillows were comfortable. We enjoyed family movie nights in the spacious main floor living room. The kitchen and bathrooms were great and so clean. We were there during warm days in July, but we opened the windows a while in the evening to cool things off, which worked well. We appreciated the room darkening shades on the windows, since it is so light in the summer. And little touches, like phone chargers on the night stands, hand lotion in the bathrooms, and a welcome hamper with some goodies, made it feel very welcoming and well thought out. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The location was terrific, on a quiet street, but not far from shops, restaurants, and all the sights. I would much prefer staying here in New Town to the busyness of the Royal Mile area. It was about a 15-minute walk to both the train station and the top of the Royal Mile. There are so many restaurants on nearby Rose Street. We loved our dinners at The Ginger Coo Cafe and Bistronomy 176 especially. My daughters did a lot of shopping on Princes Street as well.
