"Usually staying at an AmericInn is a safe bet, this particular inn did not live up to the standards that we’re used to. The woman that checked me in was lovely and very personable. We were put in a room on the first floor…which was actually in the basement (which explained why the front desk told me where the elevator was). There were a bunch of dehumidifiers down the hallway (which we took as a bad sign), our room was clean (except for the shower drain which was a little gross), but we couldn’t see out of the windows - I thought they were steamed up but it was like calcification or something. Anyway, the beds were clean so sleeping was fine. The next morning the fire alarm went off at 7am (luckily we were already awake) there was no fire, thank goodness, and I couldn’t get the tv to work."

"Bathroom floor was a little dirty, and sink plug didn’t work right, and was missing a lightbulb in bedside lamp. Otherwise room was good for a low price. Orange and apple juices at breakfast were mostly water, but otherwise typical continental breakfast."

"Loved the breakfast, we thought the EV charger was a free perk for staying there. We also noticed the shower floor tends to drip lots of water and that may be an issue in future regarding any water going to lower level. Mattress was a bit too soft and moves a lot during the night as you change positions. Overall we loved the place and would come back but likely stay in a lower unit"

"Great property, plenty of room for everyone in our group to stay. A well equipped kitchen and the yard space (weather permitting) were highlights. Good location minutes away from activities across the river as well."

"clean room staff was friendly and it was a great stay breakfast was fresh and the bar had a great selection overall it was a 10 out of 10. i would recommend this place to everyone that goes to galena. also it had a shuttle bus from the hotel to main street we had a wonderful time on our 35th anniversary "
