"Our butler Lionel Richie went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend him to anyone staying there. The room was good after working out a few kinks. The pool and beach area were always clean and well taken care of. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Food was good, honestly better than any other time I’ve gone to the Dominican (first time staying at a majestic resort). The entertainment was good. The Michael Jackson show was our favorite entertainment of the week, Maluma out did himself. Thank you everyone for working so hard to ensure your guest enjoy their vacation. "

"Me and my husband travel lots, and in mixed groups of adults only, with children, adventurous and chill. This was one of our absolute favorite places to stay. We want to bring back our family with us and a few friends. It was the perfect balance of fun activities for every level, and chill time. The staff is so friendly that we got to know lots of them by their first names and they'd recognize us from far away. We definitely felt like we were being "hosted" by everyone there. Very well done Excellence El Carmen!!"

"The Ocean was huge! Lol I loved the swim up pool, the entertainment staff, and the FOOD! Sometimes the staff was dismissive and/or rude. However, there were other staffs who were amazing and overly helpful in certain situations. It also seemed like a lot of hustling. Like getting stopped 5 times coming out of breakfast to attend the “presentation” exhausting. I did participate in the “presentation” they make it seem like you can get up and walk out at any point, but when you try you end up sitting for 2 hours. Overall it was cool. The property is old, but well maintained. You can tell they put effort in keeping the property up."

"The staff at the lobby wasn’t welcoming and the rooms needed maintenance done, not well taken care of, the water was shut for over an hour and we weren’t notified which was upsetting. The restaurants didn’t have any AC, employees and customers were sweating like crazy while the employees at the offices in the Lobby were under AC on full blast which I found unfair for staff members working at the restaurants. The only positive note on this hotel is that the team members on the lobby bar did a great good in serving customers, the drinks at the lobby were good."

"Breathless punta Cuna was excellent. Superior customer service and the food was great too. A variety of restaurants to choose from. The entertainment was top-tier as well, a very diverse entertainment crew. Our concierge Edwin was phenomenal and the Bellman Freddy helped us out with anything we needed. One small thing the hot tubs need to be updated."
