"At first I was a bit nervous as it was not a traditional hotel but the experience was exceptional. We wanted more of a family experience and we got just that. The place is really well kept. The staff was available at all times, though we really didn’t need anything. It was nice and quiet. There was construction near by but we didn’t event notice. We took Ubers everywhere. It was supper cheap. Less than $5 a trip. We enjoyed Cabo San Lucas a few days and San Jose on others. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a family atmosphere."
Buena Vista Oceanfront & Hot Springs Resort

"The room was very clean and kept up daily. Room is older and could use some attention. A few cracked tiles on flooring and updated furniture. Bed was very comfortable (king). No refrigerator but we requested and they brought us one (no charge), which was great. Also, room should have a safe and maybe a microwave to bring room up to date. I cannot say enough about the fabulous staff. From your room to breakfast to the pool and main office: you could not ask for any better people to be there for you. The restaurant had amazing cooks and the meals never let you leave hungry. Taco Tuesday, bbq Thursday and buffet on the beach Saturday night was amazing. Friday was pasta buffet and every meal had homemade breads!!! Pool Water was a little warm as fed by hot springs so we did not use hot tub. The beach could not have been better and fly fishing were caught from shore every single day! (Rooster, needle nose, yellow fin tuna, lady fish and more). No need for a guide or boat but available if you wanted. People snorkeled right on the beach in front of resort and beach was well maintained for lounging. Again-property has beautiful manicured foliage but tiles cleaned and repaired would make this an all star destination!! If you go make sure you meet up with (Lola) Lolita who has been coming here for over 50 years! I will return and just do day trips if I want to La Paz, Los Barriles or Cabo. Loved our trip!"

"Great Value! Clean and very quiet with a pool - but no bar or gym or dinner restaurant. My room (411) was spacious and had fridge/micro/stove/AC but no safe. Water pressure is medium but satisfactory and hot, but this is not luxury. Rooms are functional not pretty, so if you want a resort atmosphere don't expect it. Repeat: this is a basic hotel so if you want a really nice resort, keep looking. For a hotel, it is fine and very comfortable. Bed was excellent. Sheets/towels/room/hallway were very clean and proper, unlike other reviews I saw no dirt/hair anywhere. BREAKFAST included is made-to-order so expect to wait but it's very good. No food after 11:30am but stores are 2 min walk including an Oxxo. No swimming at closest beach but Great location for 60peso taxi to main plaza or to a swimming beach. Taxi to Cabo San Lucas is 300pesos or local bus. Tiny lobby has friendly staff of 1 person at a time. They have pool towels and will hold your passport. Good place to stay and explore the area!!!"

"This was my family’s first time in Los Barriles and we loved it. The house was perfect for the 7 of us. The views, the pool, the beach, everything was better than expected! Baja is awesome. If you’re looking for a perfect house for a stay this one is a must. Thank you for the great week. We will be back!"
