Grinkle mine abandoned tramway It's hard to believe now, but this is the old tramway trackbed that ran from the mine to the harbour at Port Mulgrave. The line turned sharply to the right further down; it then crossed an embankment built to carry the line across the Easington Beck. The Ridge lane tram tunnel is situated just the other side of the embankment. Ridge Lane As its name suggests Ridge Lane runs along a ridge, between Roxby Beck and Easington Beck. For most of its length the ridge is too narrow for farming, but here where it broadens there are fields on both sides.

Room basic which was fine we didn’t expect it to be amazing. Bed really comfortable. Needs a new tv and a lot of mould round the shower. Room was quite dusty in places. Breakfast was ok standard hotel buffet. Pool was lovely to unwind. Staff on reception amazing very friendly
