Well appointed and detailed apartment in a heritage building in central Dunedin. 
The Henry Matthews Apartment is named and themed around early settlers George and Eliza Matthews who in 1851 established a commercial plant nursery. In the following years, their son Henry led the business and furthered his career in horticulture and forestry.
Henry Matthews interiors are designed with the colours of nature in the urban environment. It mixes arts & craft, nouveau & deco, and earthy colours. Offering different views of Dunedin as the “Romantic City in which the classical formality of the built environment is offset by the wildness of area’s rugged topography ‘striking sparks between order and nature’.”
