"The add did not represent the reality of the house. There was no furniture. We were not allowed to use master bedroom with ensuite, the bedrooms had mattress cover and pillows with cases. A duvet with no covering. Nothing in kitchen to prepare a meal or eat off of. We had a kitchen table and 4 chairs, a single bed in the living room only. "I don't have anything bad to say about this place. I stayed for a weekend when I came to town for Ontario PinFest and wanted somewhere inexpensive but nice. The property is lovely with a fantastic gazebo out back that's lit in the evenings. I booked the smallest room and it is small but for just me, it was more than enough and the bed was very comfortable. This is a 130 year old converted house so there's no central air, but it had a modern window unit that worked well. Free wi-fi was provided and it's by Rogers Wireless so it's not a speed demon, but worked quite well. The bathroom is shared, but kept squeaky clean and I never had issues with the other guests in terms of scheduling the shower or whatnot. As for the breakfast, it was stellar both days. I've had breakfast at high-end restaurants that wasn't nearly this good. The owner told me that they grow most of the fresh fruit and some of their herbs and vegetables on-site and you can tell. Incredibly fresh and delicious! The second day, I had breakfast with two of the other guests and she came to chat with us as well, which was great. The town of Creemore is also lovely with lots to see and do, though I was there pretty much just for pinball. I hope to go back to PinFest in the future and I'll absolutely stay here again. Lovely place, great service, reasonably prices and some of the best breakfast anywhere. I also left my headphones there and they offered to mail them back to me. Cheers!"

"Danby House is a very inviting bed and breakfast. It is extremely clean - zero dust, beds made to perfection, you feel like you are in an expensive hotel, bathrooms clean and shiny with soaps and towel, etc. The rooms are exactly as the photos describe/show online. I have stayed more than once and it is my go to when I'm in the area. Julia is very helpful and she is there to greet guests at the door, answer any questions they might have and to offer to prepare breakfast for them in the morning. I have not had the opportunity to enjoy the breakfast, and I can share that is smells delicious! Danby House is located on a quiet street and there is ample parking that is easily accessible. It is a 10/10."

Lakefront Spectacle In Beaver Valley / Lake Eugenia

"Very peaceful cottage/house. It was the middle of May and no one was around during the week. Had the feeling of a close knit community. Everything was as they said it would be and they are more than generous in the use of equipment. We loved the screened in sunroom even when it got a bit chilly. The library was a big hit. There was two couples so we each had our own bathrooms. There is a cozy alcove just down from the cottage that has chairs and is out of the wind so on a nice sunny but windy day we could enjoy the warmth. We will definitely consider going there again. For families with children they even have a swing set! The lake is also not to hard to get into and starts off shallow with a sandy/muddy bottom (bring watershoes)! Husband caught several fish off the dock. And the coffee and maple syrup was an added treat. Oh and we had a close up visit from a porcupine ( we were in the sunroom and it was mostly in a tree)"

"The house and property were extraordinary. Bird watching was a personal favourite on our group trip - the blue jays by the house were a joy to sit and watch. The property offers everything you could ask for and more. I spent a lot of time cooking in the kitchen and loved the nooks that let us hold conversations with ease across rooms to stay involved with everyone.I highly, highly recommend staying here. Beautiful property, incredibly nice and helpful hosts, bird watching, and so much more!"

"What a fantastic place! Check-in was easy, the rooms were very clean and the host was very helpful and responsive! The area was very quiet. We pretty much just heard birds and crickets the whole time we were outside.There's also a bunch of great hiking trails nearby.I'm someone that is very picky about beds and I was really spoiled for choice here! Basically every mattress was just firm enough, with a little bit of cushion, which is exactly what I'm looking for! "
