Vana was a helpful and responsive host. Her property is in an AMAZING location! Pay attention to what she sends regarding location for check-in (I confused myself and walked more than I needed to when I arrived).

Excellent base to visit Dubrovnik

Approx 3-4 floors height of stairs coming in from airport bus stop, but leaving to airport bus is only 10 steps. The host will greet and hand you the keys. The house is well ventilated, and enough kitchenware provided. There is a washer in the bathroom. The bed is two twins mattress side by side. The best part is its proximity to Ploce gate, where you get away from crowd when visiting the walls in the morning.

The location was great. One minute to the cable car bus stop for the airport shuttle or local bus. Two minutes to the Ploce gate of the old town. Short walk to Banje beach. All the comforts of a full apartment. I was very happy with my stay. Wish it was longer.

Best location in Dubrovnik!!

Cassa Vanna is an excellent place to stay whilst in Dubrovnik. I was on a 12 countries in 30 days (female) solo backpacking trip around Europe in July. Out of the 23 places I stayed, this was my favorite!! Vanna could not be a more kind and considerate hostess. She had a local liqueur placed out for me at the casita and gifted me with a couple local treats from her store about two minutes down the road. Every time I saw her she greeted me with a warm and loving smile. I felt extremely safe and comfortable in her home. The apartment is a good size clean space very centrally located near the old town gates and a two minute walk to the airport shuttle. This location really can’t be beat!! There’s a washing machine in the unit and a kitchen perfect for longer stays. Dubrovnik is a wonderful town, I will definitely be back, and will stay at Cassa Vanna again. A+++

I highly recommend Casa Vanna.The owner is friendly, speaks English & is extremely helpful in getting you oriented to Dubrovnik. The 1 bedroom apartment is perfect for either a solo traveller or a couple and has a small charming shaded courtyard - the perfect place for breakfast or an evening dinner. The location is superb: a 2 minute walk to Polce Gate where the Platanus airport shuttle bus drops you off, & conveniently, a minute’s walk to the cable car where Platanus bus picks you up to take you back to the airport. To top it off, a small grocery store & bakery are just steps away making this the perfect place to stay! Vancouver June 2023

Property changed listing after booking. I booked a sea view and you had to stick your head out of the window and imagine all the trees were cut to get a glimpse of a ‘view’. Communication took hours to try to get it resolved. But no success, only a written statement saying ‘No chance for you to get the money back’. We left the place and did not receive a refund. Expedia stated that property did not even return their inquiries and did not cooperate. Based on the handling of the situation of the property, the lack of care, the false advertisement of the ‘sea view’ apartment, I do not recommend that place. We moved to another one and had outstanding views, excellent hosts at a much more affordable price. I have not written a bad review before but after giving the property 6 months to get it resolved, this needs to be shared.

The apartment is lovely and well kept. The location was amazing, just steps away from the gate to the old city. The owner was a lovely, gracious man who helped us with whatever we needed, welcomed us with grappa, and picked figs off his tree to surprise us with. I would highly recommend the property to friends and family.

The lovely owner is a very nice gentlemen just like a grandfather who was taking care his kids! He and his wife have prepared some home-made refreshments, multiple welcoming drinks and heart to heart caring, for example, he was so thoughtful that to check airpirt shuttle bus for us. We felt so warm for two girls staying in their aparment. Croatian are really friendly! The position of apartment is excellent. 2 mins walking distance(walking up around 15steps only) to cable car station and also sirport shuttle bus stop. Also 3 mins walking distance(walking down stairs and have a slightly turn right) to the gate of old city of Dubrovnik which is the main attraction of the district. The facilites inside were sufficient and in a tidy way for guests e.g. cooking materials, washing machine. It is an excellent experience to stay in Apartments Casa Vana. We highly recommend it for visitors in Dubrovnik

We loved our stay

We arrived late in the evening to find "Jimmy" waiting at the Bus stop for us, even though we had been sent very good directions, including photos, to find the apartment. It was very clean and comfortable. "Jimmy" was a wonderful host, and nothing was too much trouble. He made sure we had water, milk, and some beers. He explained the TV and wifi setup, and his simple requests.The apartment is a very easy walk to the old city gates (down hill going out, uphill coming back). There are numerous places to eat and buy groceries in the area. Later into our visit "Jimmy" arrived bearing some cakes and homemade wine. He was a truly wonderful host, and if only for him, we would love to come and stay again. Thank you for helping make our first visit to your wonderful city a memorable one.
