「Check in was great, with a welcome glass of Port. Breakfast was perfect every morning with plenty of options and very scenic views. Room was little dated and the area itself is secluded. If you’re looking for that, than this is the spot. The highlight of the trip in Douro was the wine tour about an hour away. Beautiful area beautiful resort. 」

「You must have a car while visiting this property. Otherwise there is nothing to do. There is a very nice outdoor pool that is not heated. So it must be warm enough outside to enjoy it. The hotel offers a nice breakfast. There is no bar or restaurant at the hotel. About a half mile walk from the hotel is a very expensive restaurant with a limited menu. I don't believe it is open for lunch. Another reason you need a car. During check in I noticed a large hose slightly larger than a dryer...

「The property is well situated about half way if doing the Douro drive loop. Grounds are lovely with rooms overlooking vineyards - very serene and quiet. Lots of onsite parking. Staff encourage picking and eating fruit off the trees - the oranges are excellent! There is a nice pool area. At check in staff member was very helpful suggesting points of interest, restaurants, etc. The room and washroom was very dated with a large veranda. There was mold on the ceiling in the washroom. 「This large home has several well appointed hotel-style rooms. Each room is uniquely decorated. The homey sitting area on the ground floor has comfortable seating conducive to conversing with other guests. Breakfast is diverse and excellent. The hotel location has lovely views of the town and vine covered hillsides.」
