"It's a student halls of residence. If that's what you're expecting I would imagine you'd be very happy with the room. If you're expecting a hotel, it's not a hotel. It was exactly as I was expecting. Comfortable, no frills, perfectly fine for a one night stay for me. Wifi was great. A little bit of noise at times, it's student accommodation, but not too noisy by a long way. I recently stayed at the IBIS in Bristol and that was far noisier. Would happily book again for a short stay."

"A good and cost-effective service station hotel. Ask for a room to the rear for more quiet! McDonald’s, Leon, Costa, TG Jones and a breakfast place(Chozen after 11am) mean there are plenty of good, quick eating options too. The room was clean and spacious, if a little dated in places, and served us just fine for an overnight stay for a night out in Newport."

"We stayed at the Coldra Court Hotel for the first time on a last-minute whim, booking a standard Queen room the night before our wedding. While the entire experience was wonderful, it was Evan at the front desk who made our stay unforgettable. Evan was genuinely warm and friendly. When he asked how our day was, my husband mentioned we had just got married. Without a second thought, Evan surprised us by upgrading us to a beautiful Deluxe room as a complimentary wedding gift and gave us two vouchers for free drinks! It was the nicest surprise and made our special day feel even more magical. Evan possesses a rare, natural hospitality talent. He didn’t just tick the boxes of a standard check-in; he showed genuine emotional intelligence and took the initiative to turn a standard stay into an extraordinary memory. He represents the high standards of The Celtic Collection flawlessly and is exactly who you want representing a hotel front-of-house. Management should be incredibly proud to have him; he is an absolute asset and deserves the highest recognition. The rest of our stay was perfect. The room was beautiful, the food was stunning, and the staff made us feel so special. Because of Evan’s exceptional service, we are already planning our return. "The hotel is a gem, full of character, great location and offers parking. We were unable to extend our king room prior to arrival so booked a classic for the additional night. At check-in they managed to upgrade the classic at no extra charge so we wouldn't have to change room mid-stay. Would definitely stay again."
