"Property served its purpose well. Parts were a tad tired such as the stair carpets and big dips in the bedroom floors but the kitchen and dining room lounge were nice. Garden scruffy and no outside furniture. Oven was in need of a scrub. Beds were comfy however not enough bedding for the sofa bed or towels for everyone. No hand towels in the bathrooms just flannels.There was enough crockery for everyone and great kitchen facilities. Communicating with the host was excellent and very smooth."

Microwave supplied (good) but no microwaveable cooking dishes; no suitable knives in the cutlery only sharp knives; can-opener would be useful; pots/pans comprised two frypans and one saucepan but no lid(s). Kitchen tap unit spins as you use it. Plug in sink does not seal - you had to run water continually to wash dishes. One kitchen light flickers then goes off - poor overall kitchen lighting. Fridge was off when we arrived...

"I admit I didn't really notice how many 'please mind your head' signs were pictured when booking this property, but I'm very aware of them now. The shortest of us staying was 5'10 and we all have bruises and bad backs from crawling around the place. One of the bedrooms had no door or covering and was just open to the kitchen, the other had no curtain or blinds on the window. The automatic light in the entry way detected movement in the bedroom even when the door was closed so kept turning on in...

"We were a group of adults/teens and children visiting Birmingham for a Thai boxing tournament. The house is very clean and spacious, and really nice and warm considering it is single glazing. The only thing I would suggest is a bigger microwave, as the mini microwave only holds small saucers, so for our large group heating up dinner took twice as long- a minor detail. Otherwise we were very happy and comfortable with the stay and would absolutely stay here again if we come to the tournament next...

Bed wise, mattress was very comfy but pillows are terrible. Need much former pillows Dinner buffet very overpriced even if you book in advance At £25"

"Hotel was clean, neat, and today. Staff were friendly. Room was spacious and well prepared however I could not get the air conditioning to work, which ultimately disturbed my sleep. The breakfast was very basic, but that’s a given these days. I can’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel and was actually impressed by the breakfast offering. The general food on offer was also very limited. I ordered pizza and some chips. The pizza was like a frozen one from a supermarket as were the chips. Very overpriced and poor quality."
