"An amazing stay in a former art museum that was converted to a hotel. The place was beautiful and the service was great. Vert secluded. The in-room Onsen was wonderful."

This was by far the nicest room/resort we have stayed in. After being cramped in many Japanese hotels and ryokans, this was much much larger with three queen/full size beds, a 65" TV and an outdoor bath (mineral salts available in the lobby). However, please understand that as this location is very remote, dining options in the area and transportation may be limited. This may be why we didn't see any foreigners there? However, they do provide pick-up service to and from the Shin-Iwakuni station...

The staff was incredibly kind - greeted me with a smile and the check in process was smooth as was the check out! The room was nice and clean but there wasn’t any soap whatsoever in my room. I’m sure if I needed some I could have asked but I was only there for a night and then I left so it didn’t really matter. The bed was also pretty stiff so I had a little trouble falling asleep but if you like a hard mattress you’ll sleep just fine. The hotel is right in front of a river and walking distance...
