I thought it would be wonderful because we are shy Americans to share the bath with strangers... but it was a regular size bath tab (made with Hinoki wood which was nice but there were some dark stains). The time we can fill hot spring was limited and the water flow was so slow that the temperature of the water became too low when the tab was filled and there was no way to heat water. "This hotel must have once been a grand establishment, but unfortunately the years have not been too kind to it. Many parts of the hotel are showing their age, and the place now feels too large and empty for the amount of business it sustains. "I picked this hotel for "Private Onsen (hot spring) with the room". I thought it would be wonderful because we are shy Americans to share the bath with strangers... but it was a regular size bath tab (made with Hinoki wood which was nice but there were some dark stains). The time we can fill hot spring was limited and the water flow was so slow that the temperature of the water became too low when the tab was filled and there was no way to heat water. We are very disappointed and nobody actually enjoyed "Private Onsen". It might be OK if it was a summer time. Room was spacious but unnecessary for guests of two. I reserved two rooms for 5 adults but we all could fitted in one room. I felt that I paid too much for the rooms."
