We LOVED the fire pit and smores which our hosts graciously supplied. The countryside was quiet and the night-time stars were spectacular. "What a beautiful property! Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, so we did not get to enjoy as much of the grounds as we would have liked. But we had a very enjoyable stay during Virginia Tech parents weekend. It was an easy trip to and from Blacksburg, and the house offered us a great space to hang out as a family away from the congestion of campus. "This creekside cottage was pretty much as advertised. It was easy to find, clean and comfortable, and quiet. We had a nice mid-week getaway here and enjoyed local attractions like paddling our kayaks at Carvin's Cove, hiking up to Dragons Tooth, and enjoying an end of hike wine at Beliveau Winery. I would recommend it and would return for another stay, maybe in the fall this time."
