「We arrived later in the evening than we had hoped. It was dark so we could not fully appreciate the beauty around us until morning. The camper was cozy and immaculate: Everything we could possibly need. Temps had dipped and they had it nice and warm for us. This was our first time EVER staying in a camper. Pleasantly impressed. We will definitely stay here again. 」

This is a brand new, completely renovated property, very clean and the owner is extremely friendly and very easy to communicate with! 」

「Rose Cottage was perfect and a delightful place to stay with dogs. The house had everything we needed and was so organized and welcoming that we were quick to feel at home. Jessie was so kind when we met. The fire pit and axe throwing down by the creek was so refreshing and the dogs were wild about running about in the huge fenced in section of the yard. We also enjoyed the deck. We're eager to come back when visiting our family and hometown again soon. 」

Great coffee & food: Sycamore Station, Salem & Lemon & Vale Cakery, New Castle. See covered bridges near Newport & Dismal Falls. Easy scenic drive to Beartown Park, West Virginia, with awesome boardwalk thru stunning rock formations. 」

「We are so happy that we picked the farmhouse as our home base for our daughter's graduation from Virginia Tech this past May. Aunts and grandparents were extremely comfortable with their own rooms and en suites. Everyone had a place to relax between activities and didn't even have to leave the house for morning coffee. We had family meals each night and anything we needed was right there in the kitchen. We had a private chef cook for us one night and she was also impressed with the kitchen! ...

「We stayed at the home while getting our son settled in as a freshman at Virginia Tech and also spent some time enjoying the area. It's an older building in a rustic setting, but the home has been updated and we found it to be clean and comfortable. The nearby creek is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.」
