We were visiting town for Risefest in Sheldon and found LeMars to be a beautiful place to stay overnight - that coincidentally had their own Ice Cream Festival going on the same weekend. Lovely grounds, extremely spacious rooms and service you'd expect from a luxury hotel. We will definitely stay here again!"

"We could not stay in the room we booked because it was on the second floor and I’m handicap and the hotel did not have an elevator , so they give me another room not handicap accessible they had none available. I paid for a suite with a Jacuzzi. And I end up getting a standard room, not accessible. There was nothing else available at this hotel or the other two in that town. I will be calling hotels.com to discuss my room rate. I was overcharged for that type of room. Plus, the hot tub in the main pool area is broke down."

"The owners are constantly upgrading this property. It is reasonably priced, comfortable, but not unnecessarily extravagent. Friendly staff. Great for inexpensive business travel. "

"I was impressed both by the cleanliness and the personality of this motel. It's not your normal cooky cutter hotel that all look alike on the inside. It has a throwback charm to it that is very unique. It could use a bit of paint touch up in a couple of corners and there were a few very minor chips in the furniture that just added to the charm. The breakfast was no feast, but nice, with waffles, eggs, sausage, variety of coffees, several different cereals, and a few breads. Just a warning, this is a love it or hate it type of place, because it isn't a huge chain cooky cutter place, but I loved it and will be back again."
