Mostly Satisfied

The interior of the home was nice however the exterior around the pool needed some cleaning, minor repairs, and lighting. Also lighting near the grill area would be nice. That being said, we enjoyed the property, and our stay.

A great stay

We loved this beach house. Such a short walk to the beach. The host was quick to respond. The private pool was a nice feature. The air conditioning kept the house & the pool house super cool. I can’t wait to go back. Check in and out was super easy with the smart locks.

Bahama Breeze

Pros: Location close to the beach, private pool Cons: The house needs a serious deep clean. The pillows, dishes, appliances/cabinets/vanities, and windows and mirrors were all very (visibly) dirty. There were also several pieces of broken furniture including two outdoor pool chairs. The washing machine could only handle 1-2 towels at a time making laundry very difficult.

Great location!

Our family comes to Destin every year for vacation, and this year's home was a great choice! We were close to the beach and head plenty of room for our family! The pool house room was an added bonus! We enjoyed our days at the beach and evenings at the pool. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you would want to cook dinners. The owner was friendly and super-responsive to any of our questions. I would definitely rent this house again! : )

The Best of Both Worlds

This house was absolutely perfect for our trip. It was a very short walk to the beach, it had a private pool with a tall privacy fence, and all 6 of us got to stay in our own comfortable/private rooms, ALL of which were on entirely different floors AND It was very reasonably priced. The only thing I will note is to keep an eye out for any nighttime critters...they are VERY large.

Great location!

This house has the best set up for groups with teens! The adults took the main house and left the kids to the pool house. It’s so close to the beach and shopping. I definitely recommend this place for groups wanting the perfect mix privacy and shared spaces!

Spring break

Had a wonderful time at Bahama Breeze. Luwana was wonderful to deal with and even allowed us to check in a bit early due to me forgetting about the time change from Indiana. Location was perfect. It allowed us to be right on the beach with everyone else or get away from the crowds and hang out poolside. Shops and restaurants were all very close as well. Clean space and well maintained. Would recommend.

Spring Break 2022

Lovely property - accurate as shown on line. Offers all the amenities of home. Plenty of room to accommodate adults and kids. Close to the beach and wonderful heated pool to keep everyone happy!

Location!

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a hiccup with the dishwasher but the host was very quick to remedy the situation with a new one. The pool is great, the beds are super comfy. The set up was perfect for our group. We stayed in the cabana and loved it. It was perfectly cool temperature wise. Adult children stayed in the top bedroom and in-laws were happy on the ground floor. The location is awesome. Could use a deep clean but, hey, it’s the beach!

Bahama Breeze

This vacation was much needed by my family and I. The house was an added bonus. Initially, we booked the stay for me, my husband and our 2 children, ages 20 and 16. Then invited my parents and my younger sister who has Down’s syndrome. What a great place for us, plenty of room and the additional living quarter as perfect for her as she has difficulty walking up/down stairs. Another reviewer complained about a smell in that addition, however my father (who is never hard pressed to say what is on his mind) said he never smelled anything like mold/mildew. A 5 minute (if that) walk to the beach, which was gorgeous and never crowded. Luwana let us know if we needed her, to just call. We rented a golf cart, which was great to have, especially for my sister and Mike was just the sweetest person. Thank you Bahama Breeze for a memorable and much needed vacation. We will definitely be back.

Good value near the beach

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Bahama Breeze. It is in a good location (less than 2 blocks from beach access to a very nice beach), had plenty of space for the 6 of us, and a private heated pool (heating the pool costs extra, but is a must in Destin in the early spring). The owner has two beach chairs and an umbrella reserved at the beach, which was helpful. There are some things that hold me back from giving a 5-star review. The cabana was not clean when we arrived, although the owner did come personally to clean it herself when we made her aware of the situation. The pool had not been recently vacuumed. There was also a bad smell coming from under the bathroom sink in the cabana (possible mold/mildew under the sink) and the pull-out couch in the cabana was not usable by an adult. Other parts of the house are fairly dated and could use some maintenance and updating. And if you need it dark to sleep, bring eyeshades - the upstairs bedroom has only sheer white curtains and gets very bright very early in the morning. Each of these items standing alone were fairly minor, but collectively they did detract a bit from the overall experience. I thought the home was a fair value and the location is very good. Just know what you are getting - you are getting a 3 or 4 star property, not a 5-star property.

Great stay

I stayed here for a quick trip I had. The hostess was very nice and I had no issues. The place was cute perfect for a small family trip. The only thing I did not like was that the bedroom outside was HOT. But I would still go back.

Really great location and comfy

The house is great even though there are three levels with a bunch of stairs. The cabana is great too, but does not stay cold because the air conditioner can't keep up along with the sauna for a bathroom 🥵 Overall we had a great time.

Amazing Stay

I wish there was a 4.5 because that’s where I’d put Summer Breeze. It’s an amazing house - laid out very well for family’s who want a little space. Bedrooms on 1st and 3rd with living in the middle and cabana bedroom has access to 2nd floor. Worked very well for us. Pool was fantastic and kept the kids entertained while the adults chilled. House was packed with everything you need in the laundry and kitchen! So nice and thoughtful of the owner. Speaking of...Luwana was responsive and helpful with any questions. Beach was a block up and two over to the boardwalks. Not a bad location but it takes about 5-10 minutes. Just a nice stroll but say that so you can bring a wagon if you plan to take a lot of stuff. Four beach chairs come with the property so no need to bring your own. Pool toys are there as well. Beach service was waiting and two chairs/1umbrella come with the house. Very nice! The improvements: not too many and these WOULD NOT keep us from booking this beauty again. The AC in the cabana does not keep it cooled enough to be in there in the day. It gets semi-comfortable at night but if you need it 70 or lower when you sleep...don’t plan to stay in the cabana. The baths are a dated and the place could use some paint touch ups. Highly recommend Summer Breeze!!!
