The Canal Inn
10/10 Excellent
"We only stayed one night and we had booked the 'superior' room - which was well worth it. Lovely big room, king sized bed, giant bathroom with corner bath, walk in shower and his and hers sinks. Loved the wooden furniture so much I googled the makers website to find that they're made of oak by a company in nearby Matlock. I'm not a carpenter but I could tell that they were made by craftspeople. Nice ambience in the pub area, good menu and we tried their own brewed ales from their micro brewery. I was interested in the local history of the area as I couldn't spot the canal... Hearty breakfast too! There was plenty of on-site parking and handy for the Crich Tramway Museum."

"This is definitely one of my favourite stays, first time in the Peak District and this place did not disappoint. Attention to detail was perfect not many stays have bubble bath. But the breakfast and the cakes don’t get me started. Definitely a 10/10 I will be coming back very soon! All the best for the future x"

"Smashing hotel, from the check-in upto departure all was perfect. Clean room with all the expected tea/coffee, and a good shower as well. Nothing to complain about, and, if in Belper again, will definitely stay here."
