Great communication with the host, exceedingly clean cottage, well equipped, super comfortable king size bed, quiet with walks around the property, great wood burning fireplace, wonderful location and with a spectacular view. "We stayed here for a week or so in October. The ocean view from the balcony is spectacular. It's so nice to have the chair outside our door to sit and watch the ocean. The balcony is really only an outside hallway to all of the rooms on the floor. It is an older hotel but our room was exceptionally clean and the hotel seems to be very well maintained. I had no hesitation about leaving things on the floor. The staff is very friendly and our check-in was easy. We left before the front desk opened for the day and check-out was a matter of dropping our room keys into the mail slot in the door! Cons: It's a bit unusual to have to pay in full for the stay when you check-in and before you check-out. The hotel does not offer daily housekeeping, which is fine as we don't need daily housekeeping. However, what they really mean is that there is no housekeeping at all while you stay there. For clean towels, you can ask the front desk. The front desk hours are limited between 8:30 a.m. - 8:00/8:30 pm (can't really remember although the phones are forwarded if you need assistance). And staff on duty also do other tasks around the hotel so if you need to go to the front desk, you'll probably have to call from the phone there as they may not be at the front desk. The hotel is right along the highway, you can hear traffic noise inside the room from the vehicles driving by. All in all, I would probably stay here again as we were out and about every day anyway."

"Simply beautiful. So thoughtfully designed, with obvious attention to every detail. A small space perfect for a couple, that doesn’t feel small, but light-filled and airy. Every window frames a gorgeous view. Our host was quickly responsive to any questions, and left a guide with thorough instructions on how to use everything, ideas for hikes and activities and useful info on local businesses. Although attached to the host’s home, the suite was completely private. The bathroom and shower - gorgeous. Comfortable bed. Fresh flowers in a bud vase on the counter when we arrived. Great hikes and natural beauty on Denman. We were completely charmed by the island, loved this beautiful accommodation and can’t wait to return. The humpback whales that we could see and hear from our deck were a magical extra touch."
