Lake Superior Lodge w/Private Lakefront Large Deck, Island Views, Pictured Rocks
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous view of Lake Superior. Huge deck & nice outside area. House was a described. Nice open concept kitchen/ living area for family gatherings. Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked. Could use some updating and was a little disappointed to find both electric fireplaces not working. Would definitely stay again. Great location in between Munising & Marquette close to lots of waterfalls."
"The cabin was really cozy and clean. Easy to find and close to Munising. Hosts were great at communicating and made everything easy. No complaints, we would definitely stay again."
Cottage #4 on AuTrain River Near Lake Superior Beach, Pictured Rocks, Waterfalls
8/10 Good
"The property is older, but clean. It's an old cabin, so there is a musty smell. The bed was very comfortable. The water pressure was low, but again it's expected with many older builds"
Modern 2 Bedroom 1 Bath Just Steps From The Au Train River
8/10 Good
"Everything was very clean and neat. However the bed in the main room wasn’t a queen like the listing had said. We will definitely consider renting again if we come back to Au Train."
Sight distance of Lake Superior Beach, Autrain River, Close to Pictured Rocks
10/10 Excellent
"It was a great little house for us and the price was right. We were up there for my wife's graduation from NMU. (Online student but wanted to walk) It was about a 40 min drive to campus but we knew that coming in. There were a couple small things that could be improved on. The back bedroom register cover needs to fixed as it is squeaky when heat was one, one ice cube tray is broken, could use a clock on the wall someplace, entertanment center door needs repair, and back door window needs replaced as it was shattered on the outside.(which the owner said a new one was going to be ordered) Those things didn't ruin our trip just ways to improve the house. We enjoyed our stay and the Northwoods pizza from down the street is worth a try. Would stay again if the opportunity arose."
"We booked two nights at Explorer Munising, and after reading some of the reviews, it made me a little worried of how our stay would end. But this place is absolutely AMAZING! THE LOCATION IS 10/10 the property is absolutely beautiful! To the people who say there isn’t instructions for check-in, they make the door access extremely easy, you don’t park across the street from the cabin. It’s literally 10 feet from your front door where you park. When people say it’s unsafe I’m assuming they’re new to visiting Michigan’s upper Peninsula, because no matter where you go it’s an adventure and there’s always a risk with that adventure! The kitchen inside of the cabins had everything you need for a stay. It has a mini fridge, a microwave and a coffee machine and a combo washer/dryer. Theres a small couch, a chair table and a large counter space for food, anything. Noise from the road? NONE from inside the cabins - yes you hear it if you’re sitting outside but WHO CARES! The smokeless fire pits outside of the cabins are not too close, you just do not stuff them like you do in your backyard (the fire to end our night was honestly so relaxing and the sky almost looked fake) The cleaning fee is absolutely affordable and completely understanding, you’re not walking into a hotel you’re walking into your own private place. You treat him like you’re home. You take your trash out when you leave and you lock the door. Don’t be lazy, these places don’t last when you have negative reviews!"
