We loved this place. It is very picturesque and one can really stroll through the village and discover so many things. The store is nice and the employees are really kind.
The only thing we would criticize is the chaos in the saloon restaurant and the rather unexciting breakfast.
We went for dinner in the saloon and there were 6-7 free tables. When we arrived we were told that we would have to wait at least 20-30 minutes (we had our daughter that was not even 2 years old and was obviously hungry and tired).
We questioned why it would take so long and we’re told that it was because they only had 3 waiters. However, there were 2 waiters just standing at the door greeting people and telling them to wait, 1 waiter waiting the 4 busy tables, 1 waiter working behind the bar and 1 waiter that was not allowed to do anything except filling up glasses with water.
My husband and I come from hospitality and F&B….needless to say, we were about to show them how to run the place.
After waiting unnecessarily long for our table, the dinner came. The Pasta for our daughter was covered in garlic (thankfully she didn’t mind) and my husband’s dinner was forgotten and when it came, it missed the sides.
We decided to laugh about it and thankfully they took my husband’s dinner off the check but it was really tragic to watch…
