"The room was very clean and modern. Bed comfortable and A/C very good. The only noise factor was the office chair in the room above us. Might consider putting pads down to quite the rollers, especially if a child is above and playing/rolling around in the chair. also putt-putt golf was not available. Needed a shelf in shower, it appeared to have been recently broken."

"Absolutely beautiful location. We spent a week here for our honeymoon and loved it! Very private with no neighbors. We were next to the creek and opened the windows at night to hear the birds and water. Enjoyed taking our kayaks to the lakes onsite and caught lots of fish. Cabin was extremely well maintained with beautiful architecture throughout and nice stone showers. Fireplace was perfect for chilly evenings. Would highly recommend, and hope to come back for an anniversary."

"Checked in at 4pm and found the place was not clean. We called and it was instantly taken care of we were put into another place in minutes. The customer service was excellent and there was no inconvenience. The stay was great and we loved the place. Thank you for a great weekend."

"The Fens was an excellent spot for my wife and I and our dog to spend our holiday weekend. Small but comfortable and cozy, it has all the modern amenities we needed for our stay, and the large windows afforded plenty of light to come in and made it feel spacious. Kathleen was very easy to communicate with and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The location was private and quiet and nestled in a wooded area near Blackwater Falls and the nearby artsy towns of Davis and Thomas. We would not hesitate to visit again."

"Host was very accessible when needed and accommodating. Kitchen, bathrooms, and sittinf area was very clean. Had a full cabin of games to enjoy. We didn't spend much time at the cabin but we did enjoy the time we were there."

Land of Canaan Vacation Resort - Family Friendly in the heart of Canaan Valley!

"Indoor pool was not working. Outdoor pool heater was broken. Pull out bed was so uncomfortable, you could feel the bars. First night we ended up having to put the mattress in the floor. Twin comforters were stained. Air conditioners are filthy with mold. Was under the assumption there was WIFI when we booked, but found out later you had to pay for WIFI but the company is only open Monday-Friday 8-5pm & check in isn’t until 4pm. We checked in on Friday around 4:30, so by the time we were unloaded & learned how to do the WIFI, they were already closed for the weekend. Water smelled funny. Was very roomy though & i liked it was equipped with a washer & dryer, dishes, & cookware."
