Everything was great. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit every night and the house was absolutely adorable. Our host was very accommodating and easy to reach. We will definitely be back.
This is a great place to stay! Perfect for my husband and me. It is very private and secluded but still close to nearby restaurants and wineries. We enjoyed our stay here!
It's just secluded enough, but still close to lots of things. We hit Montaluce Vineyards for an excellent dinner, very much enjoyed the tour and spirits at Big Creek distillery, did some hiking, and even made it to the outlet mall in Dawsonville.
Cheers!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nordic Overlook. Just the right distance from the college, the wineries, and great hiking locations. Our host was helpful and communicative. We will definitely stay again next time we're visiting UNG.
We had a wonderful time here. Only bad part is wish we could’ve stayed longer. Cabin cute comfortable and all the supplies you need. The fire pit with wood was a plus! The Host was great and helpful. We will definitely be back in the future.
We returned to this remarkable property for the second time and enjoyed it just as much. The unique design and large windows make it bright and airy during the day, almost like a tree house, but yet cozy and accommodating at night. If you are a birder, you will love this place. We heard and saw many species, including scarlet tanagers, pileated woodpeckers, and great crested flycatchers. Binnoculars are provided if you don't bring your own. Both our visits were in the summer, but we are eager to return in the fall to make use of the fire pit.We appreciate our hosts' excellent communication and attention to detail.
Secluded and serene nestled in the trees above a beautiful ravine. Decor is very tasteful. Windows wrap the house providing the best view of nature just outside. Love the fire pit and real wood Adirondack chairs. Close to the Appalachian Trail where we hiked to Preacher’s Rock from Woody Gap. Enjoyed Bluegrass in the park of downtown Dahlonega. Memorable and much needed getaway!
I absolutely loved my stay. I was visiting family and wish I had more time to spend at the cottage. It was wonderful to wake up to the wind blowing through the trees and I could literally watch the birds in the birdfeeder for hours. Thank you to the hosts for providing such excellent directions and guidance. I had no trouble finding it, even at night. I would 10/10 recommend and would stay again. Thanks again.
We visit Dahlonega 6-8 times per year and have stayed in a variety of properties, but this may be our new favorite. The excellent location is secluded and quiet, but it is also convenient to Dahlonega. The house was immaculately clean and well appointed. It's clear a lot of thought has been put into making the property enjoyable and the attention to detail is superior. Example: A window looks out at the birdfeeder, which was full of seed. Next to the window you'll find binoculars and a birding guide. Well done. Peter was communicative, friendly, and accommodating throughout the process. Will book again!
My stay was all that I asked for. A home away from home. Clean, charmingly appointed, and cozy. My only complaint would be the lack of counter space in the bathroom. However, set atop a steep driveway I was afforded a calming view of the woods as deer roamed through. With several trees around I had a perfect place to wrap my exercise bands around for an outdoor work-out. My only regret was that I was there alone. Next stay, I'll have to invite friends to enjoy the fire pit. I failed to read the check in instructions thoroughly and so called the host when my entry code didn't work. I got an immediate response with friendly help solving my trouble. Will definitely stay there again!
Everything was so close and convenient We loved using the yurt as a hub to branch out to outlying communities and make short day trips I would and will recommend to everyone Great place
