For the last couple of nights of my stay, there was heavy music and loud conversations continuing into the early hours of the morning, which was completely unacceptable for a hotel environment. Sleep was almost impossible. I also got the impression that the hotel may be being used as sheltered emergency accommodation through the local council, which may explain the constant disturbance and lack of control over noise levels. If you want a nightclub atmosphere on a weekday instead of a quiet hotel stay, then this is the place for you."

The cottage is well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The views from the cottage are absolutely stunning – truly breathtaking.As a dog owner, we especially appreciated the fact that the walks with the dogs started right at the doorstep. They loved the trails, and felt so at ease knowing they could run around safely. The host was incredibly helpful, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed.The only downside was the road leading up to the cottage. It's a little rough, but it’s manageable. Once you get used to it and take it slow, it’s no problem at all.Overall, I’d definitely stay at Barley Heights again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with amazing views and great walks for pets!"
