「A clean, basic room, good for a night's stay for traveling with our dog. The room was fine, service was fine, but there's nothing outstanding about this place. It's good for an overnight stay while traveling.」

「The room was well-furnished in a mid-century modern style, which suited the age it was built. Unfortunately, we did not have an ocean view (because we didn't want to pay the extra 100 dollars!) so it was difficult, at first to get any sort of breeze in the room without exposing ourselves to everyone who walked by. 「This place exceeded expectations. It was great to have access to laundry. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bed was comfy. Great location! Easy to walk to beach, coffee, food. Convenient for driving to popular Redwood parks/trails.」

「The best thing about this property was it was right across the street from the harbor and close enough to walk to the beach, restaurants, and park. The hotel staff were polite and they cleaned our room very well halfway during our stay. The small breakfast provided was decent. The only downside, is it’s an older hotel, and some things were a little run down. And there was hair we had to clean up on the floor in our room.」

Fresh eggs in the fridge straight from the flock downstairs! The Hideaway is a great, secure basecamp for spending a couple of days in the redwoods.」
