「I was very disappointed with my stay at Wyndham Corpus Christi Resort North Padre Island. The first issue occurred before we even got into our room. We arrived early and were told our room was available and ready, yet the hotel wanted to charge an additional $80 just to check in a few hours early. Charging that much for access to an empty room that was already prepared felt excessive and left a poor first impression. Unfortunately, things did not improve after check-in. 「The valet, front desk, and housekeeping were amazing . We did get room service and the food was mid as well. The hotel is a little dated not what I pictured from seeing the pictures. 「The hotel has a musty, muggy, old building smell when you first come in. Our room was muggy, the carpet felt nasty to walk on. But we think they had just steamed it and they left the air on fan so the carpet had not been able to dry. The mattress cover had stains on it and the bathroom has mold. 「All around wonderful hotel!! From check in to the courteous staff, to the clean rooms, the spacious pool area (the pool itself was a tad small) but they had fresh towels out there, music playing, and a kiddie pool. Breakfast was also wonderful, with literally all kinds of yummy options. When coming through Rockport this will now be our go to hotel! And we've stayed at several in the area.」
