"We chose to stay at this property because of its proximity to the Blue Gate Performing Arts Center where we were going to attend a concert. We reserved a Royal Suite that had one very spacious bedroom with a king size bed, a queen bed in the open area (this bed was in a walled off space across from the bathroom) and there was a lot of space in the living area with a pull out sofa bed and small table and chairs. There was a small counter with microwave and mini fridge. Our room was not one of the newly renovated ones but it was still very nice. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The included hot breakfast buffet was great! Made-to-order omelettes, breakfast casserole, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage links, donuts, bread, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, waffles, fresh fruit. My only complaint would be no bacon and the coffee was weak. This was our first time visiting Shipshewana and we found it to be a very quaint town! Concert venue was enjoyable. We ate dinner at the Blue Gate Restaurant & Bakery. We tried the Amish sampler meal and it was so delicious! We will definitely come back and plan to spend more time shopping. Unfortunately we didn’t realize the town totally closes down on Sundays."
