"A lovely B&B, the room was beautifully clean & well equipped, nice touches like fresh milk, sweet treats & bedside phone chargers which was really useful. Conon Bridge station (former). This overgrown platform is almost all that now remains of Conon Bridge station, which was an intermediate station on the Inverness - Wick and Thurso ('Far North') line of the (former) Highland Railway. The station was opened (by the Inverness and Ross-shire Railway) on 11 June 1862. It closed to regular passenger traffic on 13 June 1960, the line itself remaining in use.
