"You go here for the location. Communal areas. Rooms are basic but clean. Staff were welcoming and obliging but I found I had to ask for info sometimes that I would expect to have been told on check in. Food was fine. Nothing remarkable but good. The one thing I didnā€™t enjoy was the noise because there is no glass at the windows. This meant I was woken up by nearby families banging around or cleaning staff. Also the resort was a bit too family-facing for my preference. However it was easy to get a river taxi for all the tours from the village or directly from the Lodge for the tours Mawamba run themselves."
