"We booked Mole End and Woodpecker cottages for a family get together and birthday celebration over the early May Bank Holiday. Everyone had a fantastic time! The cottages were delightful and extremely well appointed. The children loved the play area, tennis court and visiting the horse and chickens. We used the Pepperpot Catering Company, as recommended by the owners, for our celebration meal and they were amazing with delicious food and excellent service. We also catered for ourselves and found the facilities really easy to use and everything we needed was available. Mole End gave us a great extra kitchen to prepare desserts in. It also provided extra space to allow the young family and grandmother to relax and do their own thing when they wanted to. The information about the area was really helpful. Some of us walked to Scorton while others drove and we met at the Barn cafe. Some of us also drove to Beacon Hill Country Park for amazing views across to Blackpool Tower and the Lakes. The whole family (16 of us) agreed that it had been a memorable and delightful weekend and no-one wanted it to end. The information provided before arrival was really comprehensive and Beth kindly showed us around both cottages after booking to get our bearings and plan bedrooms. All in all a highly recommended venue and location."

"Perfect setting for a large family gathering. Loved the hot tub and pizza oven and peaceful location. Plenty of room for everyone. Giant kitchen for meal preparation and plenty of private space."

"Extremely spacious house with an amazing amount of settees, dining chairs, tables and kitchen equipment as well as plenty of outdoor space and facilities. Great location for walking."

"Stayed at Woodpecker cottage with friends. The place is lovely, was super clean and tidy, and beautifully finished. Instructions for everything left to hand, so we were able to use the log burner and hot tubs without too much faffing. Location is lovely and quiet, we visited a few local places as recommended by the owners. Enjoyed a really chilled weekend. Thank you"

"Stayed with friends - 4 adults. Very comfortable with lots of space. Bedrooms were amazing, both en-suite. Kitchen/dining/utility area was immaculate and well equipped. Lounge was large and airy with patio doors to a small outside area. Beautiful inside and out and very peaceful. Owner was lovely - left fresh eggs, biscuits etc. We definitely will return and highly recommend"
