Excellent stay. Lodge is a hidden gem at an affordable price for all Euro luxuries. Extremely clean, new bathrooms, Hilton style beds and pillows (Slept like a baby!) Will definitely stay there again. Steps from beach and in town perfect location, with free parking on-site.

Perfekter Rückzugsort vom lebendigen Santa Teresa

Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Trotz der unmittelbaren Nähe zur Hauptstraße, ist das Hotel sehr ruhig gelegen und bietet einen perfekten Rückzugsort vom sonst chaotischen Santa Teresa. Das Frühstück hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen. Es kann zwischen Crossaint, Crepe, Müsli (mit diversen Zutaten) oder lokalem Gericht gewählt werden. Dazu geht es leckeres Obst und Kaffee oder Tee.

I was so pleasantly surprised with otro lado. It is amazing value. The bed and pillow is so comfortable, the room is spacious. I loved the yoga shala and the yummy breakfasts. I can’t wait to go back!

Está muy bien ubicado, la habitación era pequeña pero muy cómoda, y el la puerta al jardín tenía sillas y una hamaca. La piscina estaba limpia y rodeada de vegetación, los desayunos fueron sustanciosos y la atención de los dueños y de Vanesa fue siempre muy amable y dispuestos a responder cualquier duda o dar recomendaciones. La señal de wifi en la habitación no fue muy estable pero fue suficiente. Muy recomendado el lugar.

There apparently are 2 types of rooms here. The kind they call 'houses' which have 3 bedrooms, kitchen, etc. Then there are 'standard rooms' which have a queen bed, fridge and really nothing else. Disappointed that there wasn't a TV or hairdryer. Also seems to be geared to yoga, etc which is popular with the crowd that goes to Santa Teresa. That was not our style and we really didn't enjoy this area of Costa Rica. Too far to travel to and if you didn't surf, then nothing to do other than spend more money to go quading.

The trip is to long from San Jose. I could have driven to Uvita which is just as nice and not so much dust. The dust is horible. If you have breathing problems, don't go to Santa Teresa!

Paradise on earth! This Lodge is beautiful situated quiet in a lovely garden. The rooms seemed brand new and decorated with love, mosquito net on every window. The poolside, the restaurant, the yoga playground amazing. The breakfast fresh made on the hour by Maria and served from Richard, he is a great surf teacher, don’t miss to take a lesson. The lovely Long Beach is just a few meters away. Thank you Selvaggia for all your help and Tipps and also Vanessa. I will be back!!!

El hotel, el servicio y la Atencion impecables! Es un lugar al que entras y el ambiente te aparta de la realidad! Un microclima ideal, silencioso, tranquilo y acogedor. Tiene una muy buena ubicación con una entrada a la playa a menos de 100mts. Y la atención de las chicas es inmejorable!

An excellent option while in Santa Teresa

I absolutely loved my time at Otro Lado. From my arrival -- check in was super fast -- all the way through my last day this hotel proved a beautiful oasis in an otherwise loud and dusty city. The hotel is centrally located in Santa Teresa. Keep in mind; however, that most of the action is in Playa Carmen which will require that you travel every day in one direction or the other. The rooms were always spotless -- something that's not easy to achieve in a beach hotel, but the hotel owners pride themselves in keeping up the grounds and having the highest standard for cleanliness. The pool was very nice and the restaurant, which served complimentary breakfast and a limited menu of [not included] lunches was always on par. Vanessa, at reception was incredibly helpful in giving me the lay of the land and providing outstanding recommendations for local eateries and activities. I was traveling solo, but the hotel was mostly occupied by couples. I'd definitely come back
