"We arrived in time for early entry on day 1 but still had to queue so had to queue to get through security etc. A handful of rides were open but they did include croc drop and mandrill so we quickly did those and then waitied for Dragons Fury which opened on time. Lunch at the BBQ restaurant was expensive for what it was but this is common at most parks. Our room was ready by 2.30pm so we went abd checked in a bit early. The room was ok. Good voews of the animals who seemed to be out 24/7. We saw them before it got dark and again at 5.30am. Not much in the eay of entertainment at the hotel. The publicised meet and greets and ganes etc were cancelled and there was a sort of treasure hunt instead shich was ok. Dinner, sadly, was awful in the Temple Buffet - barely warm food (despite being early in the dinner service at 5.30pm), lacking in taste but the kids were ok with their sausages, chips and beans and puddings. No fruit was avaialble on the buffet at dinner and very little that's healthy. For £100 for a family of 4 it was very expensive for what was on offer. In the room the bathroom had shampoo and shower gel but quite high up so no good for use whilst in the bath. Breakfast buffet was ok - finally some fruit! The small plates reduce what you take but also make it hard for kids to cut their food easily. At least it was hot this time though! Day 2 we checked out easily and queued again for early entry. Not many rides ready. Overall an ok stay"

"I loved this place. When I go to England, I enjoy these smaller, transformed hotels much more than bigger ones and Hand and Spear has been the best. The room I got was spacious with ample wardrobe space and beautiful decor. The bath was insane with a beautiful claw foot tub. I’m very self-sufficient when I travel so I don’t expect a room made up each day but I’m sure they would accommodate you and they quickly brought extra towels when I asked. The thing is…my room had food and a little fridge with cold beverages. Most of the hotels of this size where I’ve stayed don’t offer that surprise. I think I blew through the snack basket and did a number on the cold pop on night 1. What made it more valuable to me is that I’m disabled and sometimes have a bad day. The snacks and nearby grocery was a big help. Lastly, whilst I didn’t eat at the pub, it had wonderful ambience, was always busy and had lovely outdoor space. Everyone working there could not have been kinder. All around, I just couldn’t have asked for a nice time. I docked them in star for not having room service. I dock everyone for that so I thought it was fair (but I really didn’t care). "

"The property is in a poor state, the outside doors to the block don’t lock properly, the car park is restricted as they have placed very large storage units in it and there is a lot of litter in the car park. The hallways of the complex stink of cigarettes and cannabis. Someone propped open the fire safety doors and would often prop open the entrance doors causing security and safety issues. The apartment itself wasn’t particularly clean, the bathroom smelt of urine, there was a pair of men’s trousers screwed up in the bathroom cupboard, the shower was missing its door and had a shower curtain rail installed but no shower curtain- so every time you had a shower the tiny bathroom would get wet. The positioning of the toilet makes it challenging to use if you need to sit down as there is very little leg room- poor design and best suited to very short people. The main bedroom wasn’t clean and in desperate need of a vacuum, the bed is so big it’s a struggle to get around it without hitting the tv which is on the wall- I’m only 5ft6 so not tall! The kitchen was okay but barely had any cutlery given that it could supposedly sleep 4. Also only 1 wine glass. One the dining chairs was broken with no attempt at repair. It also looks like some of the people are living there and not guests - maybe emergency housing, not a big issue but it’s not really a hotel style holiday let that we were led to believe from the marketing blurb. Not what we were expecting. It’s functional."

"Very conveniently located for centre of Weybridge and several cafes and restaurants. Allowed to check in early which was very efficiently done. Good blackout curtains in room. No convenient soap provided for a bath as dispenser was locked into a container for the sink. Additional charge for parking in hotel car park disappointing - we managed to find free parking on the street nearby."
