"It was ok, but not more. Feels more run down than it is. The House has Lots of charm, the rooms- not so. No duvet, just a thin blanket (with holes)it’s reasonable in Price and I liked the central Location. My verdict: it needs much more love and engagement. Staff at the reception was excellent. I will not go back. "

"Pros - Check in staff was great. Room was clean and well appointed. Location was perfect. Cons - WiFi was super weak. Room was doused with perfume, including on the drapes and bedding. I am highly allergic to perfume. Cleaning person said to open the windows. We did that and left the room air out while we were out. It didn’t help. When I called the front desk to ask for non perfumed bedding so I could sleep they said they couldn’t help me because cleaning is subcontracted out and they don’t have linens. I ended up sleeping in the shower with towels on the floor. This wasn’t really a hotel. It was more like an AirBNB with an offsite host during evening hours. I would not recommend if you have any allergies to perfume as it was embedded not just in the bed linens but also in the mattresses and drapes. We were in Suite 1. "

"Beautiful room and bathroom at the front of the hotel. Had large balcony, shared with other rooms (although nobody else used it when we were there). Extremely comfortable room with efficient aircon. Food in the on-site restaurant was excellent, as was the hotel's home-grown/produced wine. Breakfast also great, with loads of choice. Staff polite and helpful. Some noise from passing trains when windows were open, but being near the station was a requirement for us, and this didn't impact our stay. "
