The Chicago Theatre was built in 1921 and was originally named the Balaban and Katz Chicago Theatre. The room wasn't ready at the appropriate time. The check-in line was so very long and people weren't happy. Limited staff to take care of guests. Not enough cleaning staff since quite a large number of people were asked to wait for rooms to be ready and no clear answer as to when rooms would be ready. Room was basic (it had a view of the building mechanicals) and the toilet backed up (however, it was taken care of quickly). The restaurant staff and food were very good and the only bright spot at this hotel. All in all, meh. Too costly for what it is.

Very nice, but only provided two towels and we needed to take a shower when we arrived because we had a an event for the evening, and then the next morning we needed a shower. The towels were provided were too wet to use in the morning.
