"Terry was the perfect hostess! The house is incredibly comfortable, cozy and clean, and provided with all that you might need. I also thought that the place had great tasting decor. She went above and beyond to make our stay as good as it could be! When the Keurig machine died suddenly, she not only brought us a new one but also some coffee! And to top it all off, Terry graciously mailed me some clothes that I left behind. I would highly recommend this place and hostess!"

"The clerk that check us in was very personable and attentive. The morning clerk and employee that handled the Breakfast area were helpful ONCE you get past the language barrier as they spoke very little English. The bathroom area needed more attention to cleaning. We opted to skip bathing till our stop. Lisa Illinois"

"This was the perfect house for my family to ring in the new year. Very comfortable surroundings, a well equipped kitchen for family meals and an easy drive from Chicago. We especially enjoyed the ease of the fireplace. The house is tucked in a wooded lot with space between houses and an easy walk to a private beach. Peter was always very responsive to our questions prior to booking. I would highly recommend the Blue House."

"The location of the place is great, just a quick minute or two drive to a few different beaches, and a short drive to lots of places to eat and wineries. We went to the beach everyday for a week and had a fire in the firepit every night. We walked to the bakery everyday it was open they have great homemade pastries and coffee (they even have gluten free options)! The place is quaint but it’s nice not to have a big place to take care of, and it has a nice fireplace in the living room as well which would be handy in the winter. The pool is a decent size too and in the heat of summer would be great for kids. I would definitely stay here again. I will note it is close to a road so if you don’t like traffic or train noise that could bother you. We are used to that so didn’t mind it. Can’t be beat for the price!! Nic also gives lots of good options of what to do in the area too and is very responsive to any question's. "

"The house had everything we could want and prettier decor than seen in the photos. Everything is updated and in excellent condition including appliances. Plenty of comfortable seating, comfortable beds, and CLEAN! It's in a pleasant setting and central to all we wanted to do in Harbor Country. The hosts were immediately responsive to our few minor questions during our 2-week stay. Favorite spot: screened porch. But the house would also be a great winter retreat. We hope to return. "
