"Everything was amazing "

"The room I got was okay before inspection. I got a king bed for the night and underneath the desk were three little chocolate-like, maybe even “Milk Duds” candy droplets along the floor. In the bathroom, the bottom of the shower curtain was stained with mold and it had this old-aged smell rather than a “clean” smell. There was some accumulation of dust within the room too, which just makes it seem like it was never touched at all. When me and my partner went to the desk to discuss these issues, they were very caring and upgraded us to a different room to move into. In this room there was a jacuzzi but due to the season, those amenities wouldn’t be utilized. However, the cracks in the jacuzzi and off the side of it to the floor were several carcasses of dead bugs. While I know they’re not living, it also gives this vibe that the hotel isn’t that well looked after or understaffed. With this too, the bathroom still had that “old age” moldy like smell. We also put the privacy thing on the outside of our door that says “do not disturb” and around 09:00 in the morning and again at 10:00, there was a knocking at our door asking us if we were “checking out.” Overall, just not a great experience. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Bluejay Lodge. It was a great place to relax and unwind. The hot tub was wonderful and clean. It was even better that it was on a covered porch, we had rain and storms on and off come through, and were still able to use it when it rained. The temperature of hot tub was perfect. It is off a busy hwy, but in March noise was not bad at all. In my past experience, we have been notifiied of rental location the evening before or in the early morning of arrival. We were emailed around 1:30 pm the day of for a 4 pm check-in. I would have preferred earlier. Especially with drving from a distance. Overall, it was a lovely place to relax and unwind. "

"We really enjoyed the space. We loved the decor and skylights in the living room. Kitchen is fully stocked and we loved the record player. Cons: Beds were a bit too firm for our liking and I found it odd that we had to have linens in the dryer before check out. It made the morning of check out a bit stressful because we had to be awake early enough to strip the linens, put them to wash AND then dry. Also, do not recommend if you have dander allergies as there is a lot of animal hair. "

"House was very nice and the host was very accommodating. Just wish the game room was heated as the weather was too cold to actually enjoy it. Also the screened in porch area is very beautiful and again could not enjoy due to weather. Overall had a great experience and would recommend this house for any small or large groups. "

"The home is very nice, well-stocked, spacious and family-friendly. The hosts left us a lovely gift bag full of local favorites, which was really thoughtful and appreciated. We had ten family members for Thanksgiving. Everyone had comfy beds, large well-appointed bathrooms, and room to spread out. The double dishwashers and laundry appliances were a plus. We did not use the pool, due to the season; but, the hot tub was most enjoyable. The pool and ping-pong tables provided a lot of amusement, as well. We would love to rent this home again, especially in the summer, when we can enjoy all of the backyard fun, pool and also the beach. We have rented many homes, world-wide, and this was one of the best. Many Thanks!"
