Beach front view with second row beach access. I brought my 22' boat and had plety of room to park it with 3 cars and could have easily fit another. Really clean and great layout. During our stay the HVAC quit working and not only did the owners get a new system installed, during the wait they brought portable AC units to keep us comfortable and they even gave us a discount without asking for one. Class act owner and host! Would stay again!

Perfect stay for our family! 2 couples and 1 child. Close to beach access. Gorgeous view of the beach! It feels like beach front, as no one is between you and the ocean, but there is not direct beach access. Comfy beds. Well stocked kitchen. We loved the fenced back yard for our 4 year old granddaughter, lots of play space. Several board games, puzzles, cards and dvd movies. Seating is comfortable. Ceiling fans in each room. Home is well maintained, Tv in each bedroom. We were very comfortable! If there was any improvement suggestion, it would be a larger gas grill, but we managed just fine. We hope to be back again!

Much needed respite

Thoroughly enjoyed it! Very nice place, great beach view, and really close to public beach access. House was like new (must have recently been remodeled) and it was very quiet and away from the crowds. Yet it was close enough to bars and restaurants that there was still plenty to do, and lots of good food to eat. Highly recommend!

Great beachfront location, a one minute walk to the beach access. Beautiful views of the ocean from the deck and having an enclosed yard was nice with our toddler. There is a long wooden privacy fence that precludes you from accessing the beach directly from the house but that is advertised. Unfortunately because of it you cannot see the beach from the yard but you are able to see it from the deck without issue. The beach was quiet, a little busier by the beach access itself at times but in front of our house we basically had the beach to ourselves which we loved. You’re about a 7 minute drive from downtown Folly where all the restaurants are, but far enough away that the area feels more residential and away from the noise (which was great for us with a kid). Kitchen had all utensils and pots and pans needed, I would bring any spices, cooking oils etc as those are not provided. I would also bring your own kitchen cleaning and extra laundry supplies if you’re staying more than a few days. A couple notes - the mattress and bed in the back room next to the kitchen are very uncomfortable and that room could use a new bedframe as it was squeaky. The other queen mattress was much better and the twin mattresses seemed fine. My husband also found a cockroach in the shower on the first day but otherwise we didn’t have issues with cleanliness of the property. Overall a good place to stay if you’re a small family looking for a beachfront house. We had a great trip.

Another wonderful stay!

This was our second year staying at this home. It was clean and well stocked. The location is perfect on a quieter part of the island. Everything was in excellent working order. My only suggestion for improvement would be the same as last year and that would be to get some kind of window covering for the living area windows. We look forward to future stays at this lovely home! Thank you for your review and your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed the great location and making memories. It was a pleasure hosting your group and we hope that you choose MyOceanRental for your next Folly Beach adventure!

Loved the house…a few improvements would make it even better.

We very much enjoyed this Beach house. My suggestions are to replace the door mat with one that actually works and doesn't get blazing hot. That's an easy one. This one is a biggie, and by biggie, I mean a no brainer…..since there is only one bathroom for the three bedroom house, enclose the outside shower. Should not be hard or too expensive. It was nice having hot water there. Also the outside hose could be a better one and longer so we could rinse the sand away from the shower area. The kitchen was very well outfitted. Response from MOR: Thank you for your review and feedback! We appreciate your suggestions and are bringing them to the owner. Also, we are so glad that you enjoyed yourselves and would love to host you again when you return!

Misleading

To be listed as a beach front, ocean front property and even list in the description “beach path” is extremely misleading. Yes there is a path from the house directly to the beach and yes it is directly on the beach at the ocean. But to take that path and then get on the beach or to the ocean, you have to master a 3 foot drop off the sand embankment down to the beach. No where does it mention their check out process either. Load the dishwasher and take out trash (pretty normal) but then gather all the towels, bed sheets, pillow cases, hand towels, bath towels and put them in the mesh laundry bags and place them at the front so the laundry service can get them?? Also, if there is carpet or rugs they provide a vacuum and want you to vacuum them before leaving. Not sure why you have to pay such a high cleaning fee and linen fee if your required to do all that. I’m sure they say it says on the sheet “if you don’t mind” but then if you don’t you’re technically breaking their house rule and they could put a claim with Vrbo against you. Very poorly managed by this property management company.

Really nice place: we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The one thing to be sure and note is this is a 3br property and 1 bath. My mistake I did not pay attention when booking. Easy on and off the beach. Enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location and super clean

This home was perfect for our small group. Very bright and clean. I didnt read the guestbook that was sent to me (my mistake) and was surprised by the lack of some things such as beach towels and beach chairs and kitchen goods like aluminum foil, coffee filters. The weather was awful so we were very thankful for the large collection of puzzles and board games. We made sweet family memories with our preteens who would normally never sit down with us to complete a puzzle.

Quiet area of the island was ideal. House was well maintained, decorated and cleaned. Just the right amount of dishes/cookware. We had an issue with the dishwasher which management dealt with in a timely manner. Really appreciated the great communication. Would definitely stay here again!
