"La casa está agradable pero la atención fue pésima el gerente super mamón, me hablo para decirme que había quebrado una bola de billar que ya estaba quebrada, las sabanas olian muy feo y tenían pelos no las habían lavado, en la casa hay ratas dejaron caca en la barra de la cocina dónde preparamos nuestros alimenos, no había papel higienico, 1 cuarto inundado de agua probablemente por el aire acondicionado y en general mucho olor a drenaje."

"Chacala is definitely off the beaten path. The streets are rough and the shops are limited. However, the beach is terrific. The people are friendly and the pace of life is lovely. The Casa. Liquen hotel is owned and operated bye a welcoming, warm and friendly woman with enough energy for three people. When you stay here, you feel like you’re staying with a friend. The hotel is 3 or 4 years old and in good condition, very clean, but what sets it apart are the friendly staff. We did an early morning hike right from the hotel up to a lovely viewpoint above town that sits on the edge of an ancient volcano. While I was there, I caught one of the most beautiful sunsets I can recall. This town and the hotel are not for everybody. It took me a bit to catch the vibe, but once I did, I really liked it. This is a special place to slow down, unplug and relax. No bar scene, no fancy restaurants. Lots of families enjoying an authentic rustic Mexican village by the sea. "

"Las Palapas was a great time. Would return again.Pros:Beautiful place.Staff were helpful and attentive. Things were cleaned every day and there was a cooler that was always stocked. The pantry and house setup were great- you have 99% of what you need.Pool, beach, volleyball were great, access to equipment was really nice. Cons:Very hot in July (can't fault the place, more of a location note), had some issues with our AC unit for the first few nights.Transportation to/from PV is a bit of a painLogistics of getting payments figured out was a layer of stress. Would be nice to have more explicit instructions/information about how/when you will pay which payments and about the friction involved in getting pesos.Our group got struck with a solid--or not so solid--case traveler's diarrhea after a few days :/Chacala was a neat little town that felt off the beaten path. The place is your oyster and the people were eager to help you realize any adventures. Once our party forgets about the bodily discomforts experienced, I imagine we'll keep this option in mind for future vacations."
