"It is good to be back. Having first stayed here three years ago, I wanted to see if the place still held up, and it is easily just as good as I remembered, if not better. The food remains a massive highlight; the breakfast buffet is excellent, with the fresh salads and desserts being particular standouts. My room was thoroughly comfortable, but it was the staff who made the experience, always staying one step ahead to ensure I was well looked after. It is a brilliant, welcoming spot for a solo traveller."

"The apartment was clean, modern, had in room laundry and very quiet. It served our needs perfectly. We had a family event in Astana and this was close by, so ideal. Check in leaves some room for improvement. We found no visual reference to the hotel name on the outside of the building, which was a little confusing at 2:30am. You need to take one elevator, past a security door to floor 6 then locate the desk. Pay a modest security deposit then take a second elevator to the floor. There are handy C-stores in the building and coffee shops right there for a quick breakfast. So one you are checked in it was plain sailing."

"Reviews of this hotel are all over the place and some complaints are truthful but completely overstated while some are just outlandish. This building is architecturally significant, the very most prized location in the city, and the cost is comparatively low, it's accessible to all comers. So the guests might be like anyone traveling in an airport, but this hotel is in fact very special and I am in total agreement with the Hotel Uzbekistan. If you're in agreement with your surroundings, you'll have few complaints, and that says something about what you value."
