10/10 Excellent

"Ibis Budget Antwerp is a practical choice if you're looking for a convenient place to stay. The biggest advantage is its location—it's situated just outside the train station, making it extremely easy to access and ideal for travelers arriving by rail. As expected from an Ibis Budget property, the rooms are quite small and offer only the basics. There are no extra frills, just simple accommodation for a night's sleep. The biggest drawback during our stay was the lack of air conditioning, which can make the rooms uncomfortable during the summer months. The beds also felt rather small and may not be ideal for families traveling with children, although this could have been specific to the room type we were assigned. A nice convenience is the Lidl supermarket located in the basement of the building, making it easy to pick up groceries, snacks, or other essentials. The highlight of our stay was the hotel's luggage storage service. They stored our luggage for three days while we visited Paris for a very reasonable fee, which made our trip much easier and added great value to our stay. Overall, it's a good budget option with an excellent location and useful services, especially for travelers who prioritize convenience over comfort."

"BIG problems with AC, on entire 5th floor....known to staff. We were booked 3 nights. 2 nights struggling with warm room. First evening we phoned to front desk to complain of warm room, with no actual help except "our computer shows it is working". Finally on 2nd afternoon, after 4 calls and 1 and 1/2 wasted hours and no real help except for advice from reception that 'the computer shows it is working", I stomped up to reception and asked to move rooms. They then advised the 5th floor was having problems - ??? why not tell us that sooner??? They tried to reboot their computer program yet again.....then finally at the 2 hour mark move us into a room on 7th floor where the AC worked. Then, when I asked for a free glass of wine for myself and husband as compensation, I was initially told "no, you haven't had any major problems, and its not our fault". REALLY??!! I finally pushed hard enough to get 2 glasses of wine. Our friends in another room on 5th floor had same problem, finally moved. Another guest from 5th floor checked out with a full refund. I was really frustrated that they made no effort to resolve the problem once it became apparent there was an issue, and that I had to push to move rooms, push for a compensatory glass of wine. We wont be back."

"Room was downgraded without an notice, message or automatic refund of difference in rate. More importantly the room which I was assigned on the app & still registered on their system was occupied by someone else. The PIN was assigned back to the original room because it was showing as empty on their system. When trying the door it was deadbolted from the inside by 2 female guests. If they hadn't had dead bolted the room, then that would be a potential security issue. Was told the property was at full occupancy that day, so what should have been a room with 2 separate beds (1 bed & 1 sofa bed) ended up with 1 bed & 1 person having to sleep on the floor. The Numa staff tried to help via whatsapp, but it took over an hour to sort something out. This was more of an issue as I'd we'd been travelling for 6 hrs & only arrived at the hotel at 23:00. Was assigned the original room on the last days of the weekend stay. This will be my first & last experience of using a booking where there is no staff at the property."
