    Located at 7,000 ft elevation beneath tall ponderosa, juniper & pinon forests of the East Mountains along the Sandia Mountains and world famous Turquoise Trail, this affordable 1,500 sf log home is situated on a ridge overlooking historic Canoncito and Cedar Crest. Just 15 min to Albuquerque, 25 min to airport and 50 min to Santa Fe. Enjoy scenic day trips to historic mining towns of Golden, Madrid & Cerillos. Continue to famous Santa Fe & Taos and visit historic old towns with outstanding restaurants and world renown galleries.

    Use this beautiful and peaceful setting on 2 acres as your base camp. Perfect for an intimate get-away or family vacation.

    Bring your mountain bikes, running or hiking gear and step right into hundreds of miles of national forest trails.

    Just a half day hike to the top of the mountain depending upon your ability (10,000+ elevation). Walk to public horseback riding just down the road. Just a few minutes drive to Sandia Crest road accessing many additional trail heads, ski hill and Sandia Peak scenic overlook & restaurant (10,567 elevation).

This property was an outstanding place to stay. It was incredibly clean, well stocked with supplies and had everything you need to cook with. We went for Easter break and the kids had so much fun in the hot tub and exploring the area. The outdoor deck does not disappoint, it is relaxing and has beautiful views. The beds were very comfortable and provide a great nights sleep. The mini split heating/cooling system was perfect for the different types of weather we had. The host was extremely responsive, helpful, gave dining recommendations. Checkin and checkout could not have been easier. We live nearby, but wanted a getaway, but be close enough to go home and take care of animals. This was perfect location for us. The water feature was calming for our son with autism to listen to. If we could rate it higher, we would.

Balloon Festival Trip

This house was beautiful and a perfect spot for our group of friends. It’s a great location as it affords privacy and a lovely space while not being far from the places we wanted to visit. Brad is terrific with communication and assistance. Would highly recommend a stay here!

Excellent Accommodations and Amenities

This is the most well taken care of property we've stayed in. It is also very safe and peaceful. It was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. We were comfortable and totally satisfied with the accommodations and the environment. Brad was very responsive to anything we needed. He also provided excellent restaurant recommendations and information about the area attractions. We will definitely stay there again.

Best place to stay. Beds and linens are top notch. Music and video collection superb. Kitchen has everything you can need. Area is quiet and beautiful. Hot tub is spa quality. You can't find a better place to stay.

Mountain Grandeur

Aesthetically pleasing, well-maintained, beautiful art and phenomenal deck overlooking the mountains. Rooms are spacious and comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was very comfortable. we spent most of our time on the deck overlooking the mountains. It is the best VRBO rental we have ever used.

Spring Thing 2024

Wonderful, as usual. Even cleaner than in past visits, as if that were possible. We get together for accountability sessions - and to tour the area - semiannually. There is just so much to see and do in this area. Skyline makes a wonderful home base.

Another wonderful stay

Three older gents get together twice each year for an accountability session and to catch up on our lives. This has been our home base for several years. Quiet, well maintained with beautiful views and a convenient location. We have already made reservations for next Spring. Need I say more?

Great Albuquerque Getaway

Wonderful log cabin set in the hills just outside of Albuquerque. Wonderful view enhances sitting out on the porch. Little light pollution provides for excellent star gazing. The cabin was very clean and well stock with essential items. Great hiking and other outdoor adventures in the area. The host is very attentive to your needs, provides ample literature of things to do and is quick to respond to messages. A wonderful place that will enhance any vacation to the Albuquerque area.

FABULOUS

We've stayed in the cabin before and loved it. It did not disappoint this time. Can't tell you how nice it was to have enough bedrooms for our adult children. I feel like it goes without saying that it was clean. It was beyond just that. It was charming, comfortable, cozy (love the woodsy decor), and just all around WONDERFUL!!

Lodge in Cedar Crest

The communication with Brad was very timely & provided everything we needed to make our stay fabulous. The lodge was prepared for us as we checked very late. Brad anticipated needs & did not disappoint. The lodge is surrounded by woods & fantastic views. It was warm, comfortable for our whole family. Kitchen was stock to cook meals. Hot tub was wonderful in the snow! Close to restaurant & groceries & hiking. We will be back !

The house and location were perfect. We really loved the mountain area. The pictures of the lodge definitely do not do it justice. The house was perfectly located, clean and well stocked. So comfy that you almost feel like you are home. It was truly one of the most well stocked VRBO houses that we have every rented. Brad was also an exceptional host. He accompanied every need and provided valuable information that helped make our stay great. We hope to come back again in the near future.

This was the perfect cozy mountain getaway for our family. Everything about this cabin was great. The host did a great job of communicating and making sure everything was set up for us, and the cabin was very well stocked with extra linens and everything we could need.
