「Very enjoyable stay at The Cheshire Cheese Inn, staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the evening meal and the food quality was excellent and the service great. Nothing was too much trouble and the team chatted to us throughout the evening. Breakfast the following morning was top notch (my particular favourites being the sausage and bacon). I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay in this wonderful establishment if you’re ever in the area,」
「We had a lovely two night stay at Losehill. Ideally situated if you want to walk up Losehill or Mam Tor and Edale is a 20 minute bus ride away. The bus can be caught from the bottom of the lane. The service from every member of staff we encountered during our stay was outstanding. The food was excellent with amazing views as you eat.」

The bed was comfortable and the ensuite was roomy.
There was no internet access in our bedroom.
Parking is allocated to your bedroom number and is available from book in until about 1.30pm to 2pm on the booking out day. This was ideal for us as we were able to get a last hike in before leaving.」

「The room we stayed in at the back of the pub called The Old Barn was amazing. So clean, eco friendly and spacious. We did think the top floor overlooking the lounge area could be utilised better as there was just a massive dining table in there. The staff and dining in the pub was exceptional. 」

Perfect for a family of four, with all rooms well furnished and a generous kitchen and lounge set up. Great for self-catering, but the food in the pub downstairs was good stuff. Buxton, Bakewell and Chatsworth House are all inside a 20-minute drive, and you can simply pop hiking boots on and start over the back fence of the beer garden for a good walk.
