We chose the Bedruthan for a long weekend get together with our large family. It turned out to be a very enjoyable stay. The kids took surfing lessons and loved the waves. Well kept hotel with charm and style. Elegant feel and good quality accommodations. Small rooms - but all English hotel rooms seem a little tight to this American. The staff was very very friendly and gave us great suggestions for dining out. Padstow is a gem - please don't tell anyone - I'd like to keep it a secret!

The location of this property is unbeatable. Close to the ocean and an easy walk to downtown. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I liked the parking which had a cost but was very convenient. They need to do a bit of work on the place. There was some areas in the room that needed painting and plaster work. The shower and bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was very good.

What a fantastic hotel. I have walked past this hotel on holidays to Cornwall most of my life but this was the first time I actually stayed in a hotel in the local area. I am pleased I picked the Carlyon Bay Hotel. Not only does the hotel seem to beam old world charm, it is the epitome of a classy environment with staff that will do anything to make your stay more comfortable and are a pleasure to deal with. Very clean and magnificent golf course. Evening good was plentiful and delicious, as was the breakfast.

Little boutique hotel slap bang on the slipway of the tiny bay with gorgeous view from the bar/restaurant. Attentive staff, excellent food both for breakfast and dinner. Cosy yet light and airy, contemporary feel without losing touch of the fact that's it is in a tiny fishing village. Bedroom was very comfortable, king size bed, flat panel TV with sky, fridge and kettle. Full size bath tub that filled in about 30 seconds - spectacular! We used the hotel as a base to explore the Lizard and Land’s End peninsulas. Very nice rooms, lovely breakfast, and the staff went out of their way to be helpful.

A nice historic hotel sitting within a short walk to Tintagel Castle. Wonderful staff, great food and a pleasant place to spend a couple of days!

Located next to a pedestrian mall with lots of stores and restaurants. Plenty of off street parking

The grounds of this property are very beautiful. We met the one man who cares for this property and he and his wife were lovely. Anyone staying here should definitely take advantage of the beauty and spend as much time outside as possible.

One night stay to visit Port Isaac (setting for Doc Martin). Excellent hotel/room. Excellent owner/staff, very accommodating and helpful, organised evening dinner at nearby pub. Also advised us to visit Boscastle before returning to Gatwick,we did and found it to be a "treasure", excellent seaside fishing village. (better than Port Isaac!)

Location is right on the harbor, beautiful views of a small but lovely fishing village. Room was surprisingly big, well decorated with an excellent bathroom. Enjoyed painting of harbor which was an exact match to looking out the window! Mevagissey has very little parking and narrow streets, but parking is provided about 200 yards away so it's an easy walk.
