"Great place to stay with the best Beach vibes!!! the beach is just across a small street and the hotel provides beach chair, beach towel and umbrella services for free. If you’re brave enough, the surfboards are free as well. Great staff everyone’s very friendly!!!!!very walkable location."

"Overall we had a good stay at the Carlsbad by the Sea. The location was convenient being that we were going to Legoland. The food hall next door and the outlets shopping across the street made everything convenient. A few downside were our room was on the highway side and there was a constant hum. The resort was undergoing renovations, so parking was not super convenient and at the time the guest laundry was closed. Housekeeping does not come everyday, which is totally understandable, but the floors were obviously not swept or vacuumed well. we could feel crumbs/dirt on parts and could see cobwebs and dust bunnies near corners. Also, a bit frustrating, we chose this hotel with the understanding that it had a free shuttle to Legoland. However, a few days before the trip I looked on the hotels website and it listed that they no longer offered a shuttle. Not sure if the inaccuracy is hotels.com fault of the hotel itself."
