「We were in room 29, it was spacious and even with screen windows it wasn’t too noisy from people nearby. The hammock on the porch was nice, and we got to see toucans in the tree by our front door. We also saw a huge iguana on the lawn, and a sweet orange cat.
The bathroom was also large and clean. The shower did not have a handheld but it was a rain shower and had hot water pretty quickly. The strange wooden rack in the bathroom proved very useful to lay out clothes to try and get them to dry....

「I have never received better customer service than at Miss Junie’s. Nory and her staff are attentive and committed to hospitality. The rooms are very clean. The building and grounds are beautiful and old, worn by time, but with character. The afternoon ocean breeze is cooling and the beach is shaded in the late afternoon. There are old trees on the grounds where iguanas live and macaws visit. The property is also adjacent to the town and the river, and a short walk from the turtle...

「Our family stayed for a second time at the Kukula Lodge and it again exceeded expectations. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful, the grounds are extremely well-kept, rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is plentiful and delicious . . . and the lodge is just a few minutes' walk to the beach. To top it off, the price is very reasonable- what more could you want? It was truly a pleasure to stay at Kukula Lodge and we will certainly be back!」
