"The hot tub was down and the beds were a little uncomfortable, but I still got a great night’s sleep. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size. The shower was a bit outdated, but met my needs and had good pressure and temperature. The breakfast was basic, as one would expect of a free continental breakfast, but tasted good. The morning clerk and employee that handled the Breakfast area were helpful ONCE you get past the language barrier as they spoke very little English. "This home is modern and inviting. We appreciated the cleanliness, the ability to charge all our devices in all areas of the house, comfy beds, electric fireplace, Bluetooth sound bar, 1/2 bath off the kitchen, nice size island in the kitchen to lay out food with seating for 6, and the amazing outdoors area. The deck is huge with a screened in area with plenty of seating. We didn’t use the fire pit but it was situated in the center of some huge oaks and there was plenty of fire wood. The hot tub was amazing. Six of us fit comfortably. The temp went up to 104 although we were comfortable at 100. Tip: start it early since it takes a while to heat up. We had a couple of questions for the host and received responses within minutes. We really enjoyed our stay and were talking about when to come back before we even left. "

"The house is very nice. It has many amenities, the appliances are high grade, it is very nicely decorated, and there is a great selection of books as well as other thoughtful touches. There might possibly have been some confusion as just my husband , dog and I were originally coming , but we were joined part of the time by my sister in law. We gave her the downstairs bedroom, and everything on the ground floor was perfect. However, we then took the upstairs bedroom, where the bed was not made and we had to find sheets ( we did!) and make the bed. Also, the tub in that bathroom was not clean ( a bar of soap adhered to the bottom and some stains, which we cleaned up. )Finally, the back door was not locked— we locked it. As I mentioned, the ground floor was perfect; it just seemed that no one was expected to stay upstairs, so maybe the rooms weren’t made up? We did enjoy our stay. "

"We had such a wonderful stay. This house was perfect and felt spacious for our family of four, plus two Shih Tzus. Our favorite area was the screened in patio with the hot tub- it was an awesome way to start and end each day. When we realized how close we were to Chicago (1 hr, 25 mins), we decided to do a Chicago day and drove out for a riverboat cruise. It was awesome being able to easily make a day of that.All around, wonderful stay."

"We really enjoyed the space. We loved the decor and skylights in the living room. Kitchen is fully stocked and we loved the record player. Cons: Beds were a bit too firm for our liking and I found it odd that we had to have linens in the dryer before check out. It made the morning of check out a bit stressful because we had to be awake early enough to strip the linens, put them to wash AND then dry. Also, do not recommend if you have dander allergies as there is a lot of animal hair. "

"This property was amazing. The decor was cute, house has been updated and is a clean and spacious. There were 8 adults in our stay and only 2 people shared a bed. Plenty of towels, games and kitchen supplies. The outside hot tub, desk and fire pit were amazing. Large property. A quiet neighborhood surround by lots of trees and wildlife. Definitely looking for as to a return visit in warmer weather so we can use the pool. Only a 2 mile walk to Lake MI or a 1 mile drive. So nice!"
